Gladestar

Gladestar was a leader of WindClan. She is the mate of Cornwhisker and mother of Dreamwhisper and Featherblaze. She was a young leader when Bone Shred's rogues began attacking the Clans and worked with the other leaders as they struggled against the threat. She grieved for her daughter, Dreamwhisper, but watched her grandkits grow up with great pride. She always put her Clan first and exiled Tornadopaw for his disrespect. She was killed by Deserve when his Army attacked the Clans.

In death, Gladestar ascended to StarClan.

"Since I've become leader of WindClan, I've been trying to remain confident. But these rogues... Shimmerstar, these rogues are like nothing I've ever seen. The clans have never seen. And certainly not their leader. You won't believe me, I hardly believe it myself, but... Their leader wears a skull on his head."

Kithood

Gladekit is born in WindClan to Deerstar and Applewood.

Deputy

Gladeheart rises to deputy and becomes the mate of Cornwhisker, mothering Dreamwhisper and Featherblaze.

Young Leader

After her father, Deerstar dies, Gladestar becomes the new leader of WindClan and appoints Monarchwing as her deputy.

Early in her leadership, Bone Shred's Gang begins attacking the Clans. Gladestar suggests that each Clan send a messenger if one of them has serious trouble with the rogues or learns useful information. When the rogues attack the WindClan camp. Gladestar sends Driftpaw to RiverClan for help, though by the time Shimmerstar and her warriors arrive, the battle has ended. Gladestar is full of loss and defeat and is shocked by the sight of the rogue leader Bone Shred, who wears a skull. She especially mourns the death of her daughter, Dreamwhisper.

Gladestar furiously fights against the rogues with the other Clans at Fourtrees, but when they are outnumbered, she calls on WindClan to retreat. As they do, they take two of Bone Shred's rogues: Howl and Dandelion, prisoner, hoping to get useful information out of them. In the end, the two prove to be good cats, and Gladestar allows them to become warriors of WindClan.

Grandkits

Gladestar is proud and fond of her grandkits, Starpaw, Blazingpaw, and Petalpaw as they begin their training. She believes Icetail's madness is a terrible accident and doesn't blame any cat for what happened. When Tornadopaw continues to disrespect his Clanmates, avoid training, and mock StarClan, Gladestar gives him several chances before angrily exiling him from WindClan.

After the medicine cats are attacked at Highstones, leaving Silverberry dead, Gladestar is anxious about WindClan having no medicine cat. She is stunned when Dewstorm reveals his secret romance with Starfaith and offers to fill in as their medicine cat. Gladestar gratefully accepts Dewstorm into WindClan.

Death

Gladestar is on the Great Rock with the other leaders when Deserve's Army attacks. Deserve himself pins Gladestar and takes her last life with a bite to the throat.

In death, Gladestar ascends to StarClan. She gives Monarchstar one of her nine lives.
