Fintail was a warrior of RiverClan. He is the son of Frozenripple and Petalfin, born in their first litter alongside Heartsong and Heronleg. He was apprenticed to Dipfoot. He was excited when his younger siblings Mintkit, Willowkit, and Darkkit were born and hoped he might mentor one of them, however that didn't happen. He was kind to Iceslide when he was made an apprentice again and helped make him a special nest.
He was very proud upon earning his warrior name and fought multiple times against Bone Shred's rogues. Ultimately when the rogues attacked the camp, Fintail was killed. In death, he ascended to StarClan.
Fintail is a white tom with a silver striped tail, green eyes. He has a torn left ear from Bone Shred's rogues.

Frozenripple is Fintail's father. He was very proud of his kits and watched them grow into warriors. He and Fintail were both killed in the same battle and are together in StarClan.
Petalfin is Fintail's mother. She is very proud of her kits and watched them grow into warriors.
Heartsong is Fintail's sister. He was closer with her than he was Heronleg, and spent a lot of time with her during their apprenticeship.
Mintfrost is Fintail's younger brother. Fintail hoped he might mentor he, Willowpaw, or Darkminnow.
Willowpaw is Fintail's younger sister. Fintail hoped he might mentor she, Mintfrost, or Darkminnow.
Darkminnow is Fintail's younger brother. Fintail hoped he might mentor he, Willowpaw, or Mintfrost. Darkminnow grieved when Fintail was killed.

Apprenticeship
Finpaw was apprenticed to Dipfoot. When his parents had their second litter, Darkkit, Willowkit, and Mintkit, Finpaw and Heartpaw hoped once they became warriors they might mentor one of their younger siblings. (Beyond the River, chapter 5)
Finpaw and Heartpaw share a mouse by the apprentices den as Heronpaw runs to join them. (Beyond the River, chapter 8)
When Iceslide is forced to become an apprentice again, Finpaw and his siblings make a special nest for him in the apprentices den. It is full of moss and feathers and lined with some pretty rocks. Finpaw comments that Iceslide might have the den all to himself soon, as soon he and his siblings will be warriors. (Beyond the River, chapter 8)
Warrior
Fintail earns his warrior name alongside his siblings, Heartsong and Heronleg, and Iceslide as well. He was very proud. (Beyond the River, chapter 9)
When Otterpelt wails about a vision of blood and death, Fintail feared they were all going to die. (Beyond the River, chapter 13)
After Bone Shred's rogues attack the camp, Heronleg licks Fintail's torn and bloody ear (Beyond the River, chapter 23). Not long after, Warmmoss licks a cut on Fintail's shoulder (Beyond the River, chapter 23)

Death
After another attack on the RiverClan camp by Bone Shred's rogues, Fintail is killed, as well as his father Frozenripple. Their bodies lay not far from each other. Fintail has horrible wounds in his throat and shoulder. Darkminnow sits beside him in grief. (Beyond the River, chapter 25)
When Otterpelt reveals that she foresaw what Iceslide would do, Petalfin cries that Frozenripple and her kits are dead because of him. (Beyond the River, chapter 28)
- When Stormstar announces Poisonedsap has joined ShadowClan, Petalfin cries that she lost Frozenripple and three of her kits to the rogues, asking how dare he let her in. (Milkblaze's Suspicion, chapter 3)
