Sapphire Shell is a strong determined pony that doesn't really take any crap from others. She uses her chalk board to communicate, but you can practically tell what she's saying by the look on her face. She's nice to ponies that are nice to her.

Sapphire Shell was born mute and lived her whole life that way. She carries around a chalk board to "talk" to ponies. Even though she tried, no pony wanted to be around her for not knowing how to act with a mute pony. She learned how to make jewerly from the sea shells she found on the beach in her home town, and found that was her special talent. One day while collecting sea shells, some bullies from school were bullying her to the point of tears, then Rad Wave appeared after a swim and convienced the bullies to leave her alone. After that they became close frineds and eventually married.
