Kelsey

Hatched to a pair of Vaikis in a quiet section of woods in eastern Europe, Kelsey and his family lived a good, simple life. To an outsider it might not have seemed like much, but his parents were kind, they had a comfortable, if plain, little den, and when his little sister Anthea hatched, he was overjoyed.

But good things don't always last, as Kelsey learned the hard way. The winter after Anthea's hatching was the harshest in recent record, and the pair's parents hadn't been quite prepared for its length with their new child. Late that winter they left their den in search of food, leaving Kelsey to watch over his little sister. They never returned.

Two weeks after they had left, Kelsey, anxious over their wellbeing and believing his sister too young to get into any serious trouble, headed out into one of the last major snowfalls of the season to search for them. His fears came to pass when at last he found them on the shore of a nearby river, both their soaked fur and the water around them coated by a thin layer of ice. Shaken and upset, he made his way home... only to become more upset to find that wild little Anthea, too, was nowhere to be found.

Though he's searched for ages trying to find his sister, Kelsey has found no trace of her yet. But still he searches, refusing to give up on the last family he has and stopping at nothing to try and reunite with her.
