Nixie is an employee of the Peninksula Investigators. She is also Agent 6 of the SNSS.

She started out in the Octarian Underground, raised for the first few years of her life by a single mother. Unfortunately her mother was killed during her work as a soldier. Due to her father being unknown, she was adopted by an Elite Octoling.

The Elite Octoling didn't care about her, having only adopted her as a punishment from some higher ups, hoping to teach her responsibility. All it taught her was that kids were easy to push around. Nixie was forced to train since she was very young, having to push down her grief and other emotions in favour of handling weapons and learning combat. She was recruited as a soldier as soon as she could be, and was set to work as one until she died like her mother.

But after Calamari Inkantation infected the underground, things changed. She didn't hear the initial song, but was subject to one of the many Inkantation Raids where she finally heard the heavenly melody. The intense longing for sunlight that followed drove her to the surface, but she never had the courage to leave behind her home.

Where she'd go to sit and watch the sunrise and sunset, she found a magazine. She was dazzled by the fresh outfits and descriptions of Inkling life, and sneakily ordered some items from it. She regretted it quickly, yet every day she would wait for her package to arrive. And when it finally did, she met an Inkling for the first time. He was nothing like the horror stories she had been taught, he simply gave her the package and a smile, said some words in a foreign language and then left. Such a brief interaction yet she couldn't get him out of her head.

She hid the items where she could in her home, but she still ordered more. And each time, he would deliver them to her. The two became fast friends, she learnt his name was Cray and he worked for iShipIt in Inkopolis.

When she came home one day, she found her surface items scattered across the house, some torn and ripped. She knew she had been discovered by the Elite Octoling and she didn't want to find out what would happen when she came back home. She salvaged what she could, disguised herself, and left for good.

She went to Inkopolis and went to the only place she knew of, iShipIt. She found Cray there and he was excited to see her, offering his apartment for her to live in temporarily.

Temporarily turned to permanently when they began dating pretty soon after.

When they became adults, Cray left for a bit to visit his family. He came back much sooner than expected with a newfounded sense of justice. He told her about the NSS and the SNSS he'd been entrusted with, dubbing her Agent 6 when she pledged her support. From there they moved to Nautilus Isle where he founded the Peninksula Investigators.

Appearance
Nixie is a tall Octoling with light skin. She has red tentacles that are styled in a longer version of the Octarian Military hairstyle. She wears a light red button up under a black jacket with a matching black skirt. She has tights and black slip-on shoes, she always wears a pair of sunglasses or eyewear no matter her outfit.
