Lorelei

Lorelei is a very, very well-connected woman. In the film industry, she used these connections to land glitzy roles and keep the spotlight on her for a good few decades; in the underworld, she used them to bolster her more legitimate ventures, and to blackmail a few less-than-scrupulous executives into keeping their damn hands to themselves. Nowadays, she's retired from both positions, resting on her accolades and on the wealth gathered both above and below the table.

She's amiable and easygoing, and has always been more than a little scatterbrained about the day-to-day small stuff. Ever since she's had the means, she's left the logistics to someone with a better mind for detail. As of now, Cecelia fills that role, and Lorelei hopes that she'll fill other roles in her life as well. She is, of course, respectful of Cecelia's boundaries--she's encountered too many rich pricks who don't know the meaning of "no" to turn around and pull the same act on her personal assistant.

Their relationship is further complicated by the occasional re-emergence of a loose end, old rival, or contact-in-need from Lorelei's criminal dealings. She hasn't lost her subtlety in her years of retirement, but she hired Cecelia specifically for her keen eye--keeping her from getting swept up in unfinished business is a struggle.
