Rawiya

Character created back in 2014. 

Personality: On first look, Rawiya can appear as a rough lady who hasn't her tongue in her pocket. She's sharp in words and can have a pretty direct but can show a very motherly side too when someone goes through her dry shell. Some people say she has the mind of an old lady already but many ignore her real age.  Rawiya is also very superstitious and will make you think twice before trying something that would anger the spirits or the Goddess of the Desert herself. Aside from that, she loves her community and family dearly.

History (in progress): We don’t know much about Rawiya’s early days. She never got to know her mother or family since she was certainly taken away from them when she was only a little baby. Her life started among a secluded clan of the Gerudo, one that was practicing magic and taking it as a way of living, away from everyone else. People say that it was from this clan that the gerudos witches were coming to serve the leader of the Gerudo each 100 years.

When she was old enough, Rawiya could start her formation as a witch apprentice and learnt a lot of things about magic, potions and other mysteries, but also fighting like each gerudo. One day though, when she was twelve, she overestimated her abilities and tried to make a spell was way too powerful for her. Her life was saved just in time by the leader of the clan. However, this magic slightly changed her appearance and made her hair turn white. After this bad experiment she was severely punished and could not practice magic without the control of another member of the clan, this also gave her a lesson about thinking twice before doing something. Little by little though she worked on restoring her reputation and winning the respect of the other members of the clan. Some years later she finally was allowed to practice magic normally again and at the age of 20, she completed the ritual to become a true witch (also getting the tattoo on her back).

She was then allowed to leave her clan to join the capital of the gerudo. There she started working as a witch for the citizens and their leader.

Note: Her and Loyren are in a constant competition of some sort, they can't stand each other at all. :'D Nothing romantic implied, they strictly see each other as either rivals or the opposite of what they like, as their vision of magic and its use are very different. This hides the respect they have for each other work though.
