Personality:
Be will likely make the first impression of a snobby, vain, always bored and utterly selfish girl. Contrary just for the fun of it,and she is apparently rather thin-skinned, getting set off at the littlest things, and if you don't do something exactly as she requests (or even if you don't understand) she often gets very annoyed. Be also is very demanding in general, and even her friends consider her high-maintenance. Inside though, despite her narcissistic nature, she is relatively sweet and sports a hidden caring side. Though quite harder to get close to her (even more so than Cactus because rather than being antisocial, her demeanor is hard to read), she deeply loves anyone who manages to earn her affections. Secretly always watching out for everyone else, though she doesn't really care about them all too much. More than anything else, this girl is afraid to look weak, small or in any other way incapable, because she is terrified of a bleak future, or a life that is not in her own hands. Hates to lose control; not only because of her selfishness but also because she naturally craves order. Resulting, she admires leader types with strong personalities. Often doesn't wish for others to help her, as she doesn't wish to look weak, and yet is always asking others for help. Hungry for knowledge regarding the ways of the world; however, she also has an equal impulse to shut out knowledge and continue living in ignorance. This is also due to fear. Very much looks up to strong women, especially Liu. Also admires Cantua, because he is both humble and yet strong, traits that completely mystify Be.
Background:
Be's mother was born in Korea 1595, the daughter of a yangban nobleman and a concubine. Though she was supposedly not noble due to her own mother's dirty past and social standing, her parents found ways to lie about this so the girl could have a decent life.
She was close with her mother; they both fled when Korea was attacked by the Japanese. When they could return to Korea in 1599, Be's grandfather had been killed. Her grandmother tried to find another person to take care of the child, and she ended up in love with a prince. Be's mother married a nobleman in 1625, but due to the Manchu invasion and tough war times, did not actually give birth herself until 1631.
However, she could not take care of her child, and the little girl ended up abandoned in the streets. She was found by a merchant's wife and taken care of until she was 4. In 1635, the little girl, named Chun-Hwa, was found by a nobleman. He was visiting the house of the family who had taken her in, and was contributing to a census, or counting. He learns Hwa was adopted, and due to her likeness to portraits he had seen of the concubines of the prince, along with what history could be recounted by the woman who had found her, the man deduces that she is of royal descent (no one knew about her grandmother's actual life as a woman of ill repute) and must be returned to the palace.
The war with the Manchurians having ended in 1636, Korea was working on rebuilding itself and regaining its former glory. Hwa was given a fabulous life among the most rich and fancy Yangban. Because of her beauty, and her new parents sympathy for the girl's difficult past, they spoiled her in every way possible. However, due to the neo-Confucian ideas of the time, her life was extremely regulated. She was constantly pushed around, and due to this grew a deep seated hatred for society and men in general. Hwa grew into a stubborn young women with great understanding and knowledge of society's rules; thus, though not being able to get what she wanted merely by asking, as her brothers and noble boys seemed able to do, Hwa manipulated the rules behind the scenes to get her way. Also due to her spoilt background, she developed a very narcissistic personality.
The girl also had a thirst for knowledge and often would eavesdrop on the education of her brothers; this was much of where she learned everything she knew of society and rules. She also was very introspective and would spend much of her time out in her mother's splendid garden, reflecting on every which issue while the flowers grew with her.
In 1645, there was a great dispute; her family was fighting over land with another noble family. They had agreed to share the land, as it was very large, and marry their only female child, who happened to be Chun-Hwa, to the other clan's oldest son.
Hwa was very angry at this decision; not only was there a rather wide age gap between her and her appointed husband, he was also sickly, and did not appeal to her for a variety of other reasons. Her main fear in life was also for her future; she did not know how she would survive without an education, nor in marriage, or with the spoilt nature she had and was self-aware of; even ashamed of her dishonesty to a degree. The last thing she needed was yet another man to push her around.
Instead of remaining silent, as she usually did, and “complying” with what society wanted while subtly working around its expectations, she was so upset that she publicly voiced her opinion on the issue. This enraged both families (though her parents were loving and somewhat understood, they could not see a place for such rude behaviour and lack of modesty), and the controversy became even hotter. Also because she was the youngest in the family and the only female, no replacement for Hwa could be found for the marriage.
In early 1646, the girl was imprisoned and was going to be punished, and then married. She endured this humiliation, but during it, she and one of her handmaids, Jeong, who was loyal to her cause, collaborated and came up with a plan. On the day of the wedding, the handmaiden took her place due to their similarity in appearance, and the young noblewoman tried to escape. Unfortunately, Hwa was well known for her beauty, and failed because everyone noticed her maid's lack thereof. The imposter was thrown out and imprisoned, and the two families made a desperate search for the real Chun-Hwa. However, she had found the place of imprisonment of her friend, who had been carrying poisoned rice pastries in case of the plan's failure. Death seeming more appealing to Hwa than marriage and a miserable life, she takes the poisoned meal and dies shortly after. Her friend takes the body and hides it as best as she could. When she is released, Jeong buries the girl among the flowers and cherry blossoms in a garden similar to the one she had loved in life.
The unknown poison turned the girl a deathly pale colour, and resulting, her merging with the blossoms gave her a pale pink complexion. Once in the modern timeline, she also finds a love for modern culture and fashion of her country. She was deeply patriotic in life and loves all eras of her Korea's culture and fashion.
Be also sees the Garden as a paradise compared to her life. She enjoys being a pushy princess who does not have to work hard to break or bend the rules. Also, though she is generally afraid of men, especially in positions of power (and she is sadly a bit of a misandrist), her romantic passions have really been ignited. Even in life she had ideas of what her husband should actually be like, and she wishes to find a person like the man of her dreams.

Relationships:
*Completely and totally looks up to Liu as her role model. She also looks up to Cantua and even likes him a little; however, this is troublesome because her two role models have a hotter rivvalry than any other Immortals, even herself and Tsubaki.
*Absolutely hates and is enemies with Tsubaki. Mostly this is due to their striking difference in temperament, but also because Tsubaki supported the Toyotomi in life. After Hideyoshi Totyotomi had died, Tokugawa ended the devastating Imjin war in Korea. Resulting, though Be never lived during the war, she knows her nation's history and absolutely hates the Toyotomi or anyone associated with them.
*Admires Cactus but is also a bit of her rival.
*Does not really like Orchid but they get along okay.
*Another of her rivals is the equally stubborn and
aggressive Madroño, though they actually get along decently and eventually end up in a relationship.
*As with Tsu, she is somewhat friends with Rosalisa as both admire writing, literature and knowledge in general.
Fun Facts: - Likes to tease Rosalisa for actually liking romance, and often observes her reading Romeo and Juliet and points it out to the others, much to the chagrin of the Victorian lady.
-Her skin is extremely sensitive and resulting, she hates to be touched, hugged or cuddled.
-Her favourite food is actually gāo diǎn, as mentioned in this meme.
-Likes to ship the others in the Garden. Has come up with many terrible ship names, including "CherryBerry" which is the name for herself and Madroño (the strawberry tree). Everyone else hates this facet of her personality, especially "berry". XD
- Frequently speaks in the 3rd person, and refers to herself as cutesie names like "little girl" or "lady"; but don't you dare call her any of those "belittling" names yourself. >:3
Confusing details: - her left (our right) sleeve should be pink. I miscoloured it as yellow.
-Skintone is completely pale white with subtle pink areas.
-This is the most important detail that I feel will be missed, other than her skintone - her body shape. She is actually rather short, and very thin. Despite her having small boobs, she is relatively flat chested due to her youth. She also has pretty wide hips despite being thin.
-Her hairstyle is amply confusing. It's rather lopsided, and longer on the right side. Also on the right side, her hair is done up to look like a flower. (my next drawing, already in the works, is a portrait of her which shows this more clearly).
-The sparkly pink material on her sleeves and waist is actually rather sheer and translucent.
-Sleeves are very long and trail on the ground when she walks.
-And no, one sleeve is not longer than the other - that is simply a mistake in the drawing.
-Except for the blonde streaks, which are actually pigmentation from the cherry blossoms, her hair is a very dark blackish brown; just a little darker than that of Cactus'.
