Chester the Jester

Story-Draft: He was born as a slave and had to start working very early despite being a bastard son of the house's master. Other kids (his halfsiblings and their friends) often bullied him, which escalated pretty quickly to a regular occurence. Since he wasn't quite giving in (not resisting, but also not begging for mercy) it got worse and worse. Any adults pretended to not notice to not get into any trouble themselves, or just declaring it as 'kids being kids' even when Chester was obviously injured. 

Through some happenings Rowen got a request to 'take care' of his masters, during which he also saved Chester and took him in. Sadly, he had already gotten the wounds in his face some days before and the scarring remains even in his adulthood. Currently, Chester works as a an assassin and travels often for assignments , but also still has a room at Rowen's guild. When he's there or on break, he often works as server or clerk at the guild. Most members know him by name.
Almost all of his assignments come directly from the guild or Rowen, he's not really known enough to get private job offers and prefers to keep it that way.

Despite his hard start he's pretty friendly and likes to joke about a lot of stuff, including his facial scars and line of work. Chester likes to tease people a lot, but stays nice to friends (he's great at riling up people he doesn't like). He's good at reading people thanks to Rowen's teachings. Usually he calls Rowen 'master' or 'old man' and considers him his father figure / parent.
