Eventually stumbling a young kitten, Momo knew there was no use in continuing a life lived stray when someone in their eyes, they felt obligated to provide a better life for the orphan- as they themselves never experienced one lives peacefully. Having become a royal guardsman in due time, Momotaro is a protective soul who's will to fight keeps him moveing foreward at all times, never taking a moment to find peace.

About
Momotaro grew up on their own, never knowing their parents- as most Shy Guy folks in poverty are tossed due to their imperfection's- Momotaro's being their bright colored hair. Living amongst the dangerous streets of 'Shy Guy Bazaar', Momo always dreamed of finding his calling in life outside of crime and desperation. One day along his endevors, Momotaro stumbled across a stray kitten in need of refuge- and thus took it upon himself to nurse them back to health. They'd go on to give them the name, 'Maneki'. Together, the two orphaned children would vanish from their detested homelands.
Migrating to The Mutsahiro Kingdom, Momotaro would spend years of grueling training to join the monarchy's royal guard. In an effort to protect the one taken under their wing as a younger sibling of sorts, Maneki would become Momotaro's apprentice. Assigned to watch over the kingdom's Emperor, Momo accidently found his composure slipping from him- falling for the Kitsune's charm. Through the other's need for the guardsman's assistance, both grew closer and closer by the passing years until eventually forming an affair behind the kingdom's back. As Emperor, 'Kasumi' would dress Momotaro in the most refined armor seen throughout the kingdom, and eventually web himself to them- both facing whatever controversy would insist hand-in-hand.

Momotaro is a very focused individual who never strays away from his tasks. Its difficult to break Momo's composure, however, it HAS been done a few times prior. If you are to gain Momo's trust, their protection will be guarenteed. It seems that while Momotaro is incredibly work-focused, they keep their wild imagination hidden from the world- frequently dreaming of a life without war, work, or any form of labor. Man..., what a dream that would be..., huh?

Appearance
Momotaro's design is heavily based on old Japanese samurai, all while retaining the same color pallet and motifs from the track hes made to represent! The Shy Guy emblem located on their torso references the many Shy Guy enemies around their track- the same reference can be found int he mask he can be seen wearing from time to time! Its not common that Momotaro is ever found out of their armor, as they're so heavily work orientated! The primarily dark color pallet he wears helps him to blend into dark scenery- the contrasting hues of green and red serve as camoflauge against the gorgeous Mushroom Kingdom backdrops
Maneki: Little Brother
Truly, Maneki was the main driving point for Momotaro to leave the Shy Guy Baazar, as prior to taking the kitten under his wing, he saw no point as to strive for anything more. Maneki, in many ways, showed Momotaro that theres more to life than what he once was accustomed to. They'll cherish them always.
Kasumi: Spouse
Falling for Emperor Kasumi was all one big slip up, as Momotaro would NEVER lose anyform of composure...- well, until him. Being with Kasumi has been nothing short of wonderful- as the generous Kitsune showed Momotaro a light they'd needed for a long while- teaching them to show the same care to themselves as he does to many others. Kasumi's guidance is what helped Momotaro to become strong in many ways beyond the battlefield. Accepting his hand in marriage was the most freeing choice he ever felt he had made.
Zenith: Child
Being the runt of this little ones, Momotaro always felt an overwhelming need to protect over little Zenith- only to be pleasingly suprised by the young Kitsune's resilience to whatever comes his way! Perhaps Momo's fighting spirit rubbed off on the runt...- even so, keeping Zenith healthy and strong is something Momotaro does his best to prioritize. Their moments together are always well cherished.

In the present, Momotaro seems to have semi-retired from a life of service, settling down with Emperor Kasumi to finally experience the peaceful life he had missed out on for years. Momotaro and Kasumi would go on to take on 8 children, both offering a home filled with great fortune and loving protection. Sometimes, Momotaro can't help but think about those many years fighting the kingdom's wars and guarding over it's people...- but perhaps a life lived at peace was...much needed after all.
