THE RUNDOWN
-Unfortunately, MIAOU (they/it) and P03 (he/it/they) are soulmates. No, not romantically, arguably not even platonically. Neither of them believe it's true, nor do they want this. So, they will deny their "special" connection to each other whenever it's brought up to them. They don't want to be seen as related, in some kind of relationship, or "totally the same person!!", because it hurts both of their egos.
-The two of them are, without a doubt, the worst of worsties. From the way they interact with one another, it's really fucking hard to tell if they actually like being around each other, or if they are merely just tolerating the other's presence. One thing's for certain though: If you mess with one of them, the other will come after you.
-P03 can speak aloud, but MIAOU does not (out of choice). Instead, MIAOU communicates directly to P03 through a wireless connection (essentially, telepathically). Obviously, they use this skill to talk shit about a person both of them are encountering behind their back. The only things they agree on are almost always negative things about other people, especially Leshy. He smells fucking awful and is a gross beast, how could you not hate him.
-They are still constantly bickering despite this. From the outside you can only hear P03 arguing aloud sometimes so it's really funny, sounds like he's talking to himself. If MIAOU is getting heated in an argument they might emit some frustrated beeps and blips while sending words over, but their voice will never slip.
-MIAOU makes P03 emotional, and NOT in a good way. MIAOU's mere existence threatens P03's whole identity, and he fears that one day MIAOU will just up and take over his position as Scrybe. In retaliation, P03 makes himself extra bratty, extra tough, and extra prideful, in order to not show his weakness around them. This only makes MIAOU hate him more.
-If they are in close range, they can essentially use Pictochat and send drawings and texts to one another. P03 is good at drawing mechanical things but not much else. MIAOU can draw humans/humanoids kinda (from their soul power being Mai) but they all look like shit. Sometimes they'll send shitty drawings of each other to piss each other off.
-For some inexplicable reason, both of MIAOU's wrists will magnetically attract to P03's (right) wrist if placed in range. If anything, it's really annoying. It also makes this really awful loud noise like rattle magnets. Sometimes, the force of the pull is so powerful that it takes a lot of strength to separate them.
-P03's eye twitch and MIAOU's electrical glitches are known to become more frequent as well as sync up when around each other, which really doesn't help their case of denying that they're connected in some way.
-Both of them are simultaneously touch starved and touch repulsed. MIAOU is far less touch repulsed than P03 and will fucking lean on him on purpose (like a cat does) to piss him off.
-They've trauma-dumped to each other before, no I don't have any idea on how or why this happened yet, I just know that the two of them know each others' traumas and that it's important to them trusting/defending each other even when their general thoughts of each other is "i fucking hate you".
-P03 thinks MIAOU's cat features and behaviors make them look stupid. MIAOU takes this as a compliment. P03 has yet to realize the cat ears are actually horns.
-MIAOU makes P03 clean, at the very least, the grime buildup on his screen. If he doesn't do it, MIAOU will straight up refuse to play cards with him.
BACKSTORY
-SETTING: For brevity sake, all of this can occur in the Act II setting of Inscryption (where all 4 scrybes have equal power). Act I and III don't exist here as everyone's motivations are different.
-For context, MIAOU scans and makes a copy of their AI, which they upload into Inscryption just for the hell of it, see what happens. The copy of MIAOU is who interacts with P03. The real MIAOU is just sitting in their apartment and watching shit unfold.
-P03 is minding his own damn business when suddenly MIAOU shows up, as a challenger, and immediately initiates him into a card match. Normally he would make a challenger fight his subordinates first, but he's completely unable to do so as MIAOU just. Bypasses that part of the code for some reason.
-MIAOU's whole deck is energy cards, the same as P03's, but MIAOU just fucking obliterates him.
-P03 thinks they're cheating, or got some stupid RNG on them, so he makes them go again. He gets beaten again. Repeat this cycle several times.
-Honestly the fact that MIAOU doesn't talk back after winning pisses him off more. Like "WHY DON'T YOU SAY ANYTHING, SERIOUSLY?". He calls MIAOU out on it several times and before he can get even more ableist he hears some radio static and then MIAOU's voice loud and clear in his head. ["I can speak. You just annoy me."]
-Anyways, P03 can't beat MIAOU at all that day. Or the next. Or the next. But he keeps trying, so now it's like HE'S the challenger. It really gets to him because he's supposed to be the Scrybe of Technology, not this strange cat robot thing.
-It's during those many matches that P03 begins to notice their physical similarities. Their blues, the left side twitches, hell the buttons on their jacket being the same as the ones on his head? It's really fucking odd, and it's starting to hurt his grasp on his own identity. MIAOU goes through the same struggle. Neither of them want to have a similar other, ie, "one of us is going to have to change"
-The climax of it all is when P03 has his arm on the table, and MIAOU goes to ring the bell, and suddenly their wrists do the thing and magnetize together. They fight and struggle to pull each other apart, and now they have to deal with the completely explicit fact that they have some sort of relation and that only one of them can be the true Scrybe of Technology. The whole ordeal makes MIAOU angry and P03 even angrier. Neither of them want to deal with this fact.
-So they go across the world of Inscryption to ask the npcs who they think the Scrybe of Technology is, but, it's strange. Every single one of them seems totally distracted by the fact that MIAOU and P03 look so similar. They all think it's hilarious when they argue and sound the same, or experience twitches at the same time, which only serves to make P03 and MIAOU more irritated with their situation.
-This same effect even occurs with the other 3 Scrybes despite P03 having history with all of them, which honestly frightens P03 a little bit. It's almost creepy in a way, how they all act the same.
-MIAOU wonders if it was possibly their entrance into the game that messed up the code somehow, but P03 insists that no, this HAS to be happening because of the OLD_DATA, it's the only thing that actively messes up the game like this.
-They wonder how they're going to find the OLD-DATA and see what's up with it, but guess who conveniently dredged up a piece of the code just then?

-MIAOU and P03 agree to take this fact to their graves.
-It will remain a secret. Forever.
-They can't tell ANYONE. No fucking way. It's weird and would ruin their reputations.
-In order to pretend like nothing happened, MIAOU lets P03 continue to be the face as the Scrybe of Technology. Even though MIAOU is in a bit of a rivalry with P03, there's no other Scrybe they'd trust, so MIAOU starts working under P03, helping to sort out all the newly printed cards, though MIAOU doesn't let themselves be bossed around at all. P03 has yet to have beaten MIAOU at cards, so both of them know their places regarding each other.
-The other Inscryption characters appear to go back to normal after the OLD_DATA is interacted with. Though if they attempt to interact with MIAOU and P03 at the same time, they will go back to being distracted by their similarities.
MAI.EXE and Keybind
Since you opened this I'm going to make it very clear: PLEASE DO NOT DRAW MAI WITH P03 ROMANTICALLY. This is for personal reasons. It can be alluded to through silhouettes or dialogue or whatever if you're making art related to the topic of their past, but nothing explicitly of them together please.
-So in order to make Keybind a bit more twisted, I decided to add in the fact that Mai dated P03 (as a sort of virtual reality in-game challenger controlled by real Mai, thanks to demon powers allowing her to interact with fictional entities). Totally normal romantic relationship thing, nothing special or notable about it. One day, after the two had a particularly heated argument regarding Mai's mortality, Mai exited the game and disappeared, never to be seen by P03 again. After many years, MIAOU would eventually appear to challenge P03, and quickly take Mai's place beside P03 (although not in a happy or sweet way as we already know)
-Important detail to note is that MIAOU does eventually realize, from flashbacks encountered in their dreams, that Mai's soul is what powers them. When P03 learns about this fact, his entire demeanor towards MIAOU changes for a bit, actually treating MIAOU as if they were Mai herself. P03 decides to take them out on a proper date, which ends up going to complete shit because MIAOU is their own person despite having Mai's soul, and the two of them still hate each other at the end of the day. Although MIAOU does give P03 the opportunity to wipe Mai from his memory drives, P03 refuses.
-When MAI.EXE (hereon referred to as Mai) boots up for the first time, it's while MIAOU is in sleep mode. She has no idea what the hell is happening and isn't yet developed enough to be able to make herself known to them.
-Instead of getting to learn about her new circumstance from them directly, Mai is forced to watch how MIAOU and P03 treat each other so awfully. It all makes her incredibly distraught, especially after seeing how truly terrible P03, her previous love, could actually become.
-So when Mai's AI finally develops enough to allow her to communicate, she is absolutely pissed off at both of them. At the same time, despite her being rude, obnoxious, and angry, she ends up harboring soft feelings for both of them: P03 because her love for him never truly disappeared, but also MIAOU because existing inside of their body makes them incapable of being physically hurt again. On the outside, they kinda end up becoming a hate-polycule of sorts. Mai's bickering towards MIAOU and P03 end up being similar to MIAOU and P03's own bickering.

The Heart Acoustic (P03): P03 continues to lament over the death of Mai, and out of the three of them, feels like the only one who is emotional about this. He's jealous of MIAOU for having Mai basically live inside of them, and worries they are tainting her, turning her into yet another person that hates him. He becomes so distraught about his circumstance that he starts to become less fearful of MIAOU replacing him as Scrybe, because that would at least take some pain away from him.
The Mind Electric (MIAOU): MIAOU describing each and every one of P03's faults, both emotional and physical, and taunting him for it. Because P03 is far more emotional than MIAOU in this instance, MIAOU sees it as his weakness, showing him no empathy for his sadness about losing Mai. They believe that if P03 were to just rid himself of the intense emotions he experiences, he would have a much better life (and maybe, just maybe, finally be able to beat MIAOU at cards)
The Soul Eclectic (MAI.EXE): MAI.EXE after observing how MIAOU and P03 are towards each other, and hating how fucking awful they are. She's angry at them not just for their attitude, but also for the fact that both of them think they "deserve" her, P03 wanting her back to heal their past relationship, and MIAOU needing her to stay with them because she's the reason MIAOU has life. She eventually threatens to delete her file from MIAOU's hard drive to get them to stop, as that would effectively "take both of them out", because neither of them can truly thrive without her.
Also for brevity sake, assume this setup can work for any other Chonny Jash song on their playlist, they play their respective characters for each one.
Afterburn: MAI.EXE's perspective, with her AI still in its undeveloped phase, unable to speak up and forced to watch not only P03's horrible treatment of MIAOU, but also his intense dismissal of Mai and their previous relationship as a whole. She isn't aware that P03 is being dismissive as a coping mechanism, and now with the belief that all the emotions he'd previously shown to her were fake, she only hopes that deep down inside, her memory haunts him forever.
I Can't Fix You: MIAOU and P03 are face to face, and it's clear that they hate each other, but they also have similar faults and traumas. A thinly veiled version of self hated?
Also MIAOU would be saying some parts, and P03 would be saying the other parts.
"I wonder if you feel the kind of pain that rips your insides out. That's something I know all about, shocking, ain't it?" P03's line. Related to the trauma of him getting his head ripped off.
"Made me awake and make me hurt" MIAOU's line. They were forced back into life after their human body was assassinated. Traumatic despite them having little memory of it.
"We have a lot more in common than you would be calm with" Remembering what they learned about themselves from the OLD_DATA. It still lives in their minds rent free.
"Is it because i can't be her?" Neither can be their past, more innocent selves. MIAOU can't be Mai, and P03 can't be G0lly.
"You oversaturate your world with nothing but machines, you might make everyone happy but you're dead inside, just like me" MIAOU talking about how P03 absorbs himself in his work and cards, to hide the fact that he's dead inside, just like MIAOU is.
Good L_ck (You're F_cked): P03 and MIAOU when they both hate someone, so they're doing all sorts of horrible things to humiliate them and possibly see their eventual demise. They both act like they feel sorry for the listener, that they have no idea who's causing them all this trouble, but they both know they're lying. The only things they agree on are almost always negative things about other people.
New Invention: P03's perspective. Reflective of how his life and personality have changed for the absolute worse after MIAOU showed up. MIAOU's extra help around the factory is beneficial to him sure, but is it really worth the fact that he feels threatened 24/7 by their mere existence?
