BACKSTORY:

Anastasia grew up in a small village called Summertown, where her mother tried to raise her as a pacifistic magic healer. She did not allow Ana to practice any other forms of magic. This eventually caused Ana to rebel and leave the village so she could "be herself".

A few years later, she was caught practising dangerous magic and almost killed by some angry villagers. Sargon, a vampire criminal, was passing by and chose to rescue her. Since then, Ana has been utterly devoted to him - in more ways than one.

PERSONALITY:

Positive: Loyal / Determined / Hardworking

Anastasia can be described best as an attention seeker. She craves acknowledgement and praise, especially for her magical skills, but is reluctant to admit just how much she craves it. She is likely to show loyalty to anyone who displays appreciation for her powers, but easily becomes frustrated, sullen, and even depressed when ignored.

Ana has a mischievous side and likes to play pranks on people she dislikes. However, she takes her responsibilities seriously and won't mess around when there's work to be done. She is a surprisingly hardworking person who seeks fulfilment and purpose. Without a purpose, she considers her life meaningless and therefore can't enjoy living in total leisure. She is a follower, not a leader. If nobody tells her what to do, then she just drifts aimlessly.

Ana can be rather sadistic. She finds it very satisfying to hurt people who have wronged her, and generally prefers revenge over the concept of forgive and forget. She is also not used to being shown affection, and tends to get flustered when somebody likes her for reasons unrelated to her powers.

ABILITIES:

Ana's Witch blood gives her the ability to cast spells, which her species normally can't do. Fire magic is one of her specialities. She can summon and manipulate different-coloured flames with great precision. She can also create protective wards, alter her hair colour, and summon magical ropes to bind or trip opponents.

Ana's pocketwatch is a magical aide that grants her another ability - controlling ghosts. She can pull spirits from nearby corpses and force them to do her bidding. These ghosts have no awareness and only exist for as long as she maintains focus on them. They can interact with physical objects, but can't be hurt.

Like all of her species, Ana can shift between dragon and human form at will.

DESIGN:

Anastasia is a blue-scaled dragon with a patch of white fur on her neck. She has green eyes, sharp red spikes, and long ears that normally flop down. She's almost never seen without two accessories: an enchanted pocketwatch (worn around her neck) and a black witch's hat.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Armin

A colleague who Ana had to work with in the organisation. Armin always delighted in bullying her because of her attraction to Sargon, and Ana often retaliated by attacking him with magic. Only the fact that they worked for the same boss kept them (relatively) civil.

Sargon

Ana's boss. She was one of the most important members of his organisation - his right-hand. She was obsessively loyal to him and harboured a deep attraction to him. Sargon didn't return her feelings.

TRIVIA:

- Very proud of her Witch heritage and usually wears a witch's hat to symbolise this.

- Adores tarantulas and usually has at least one as a pet.

- She has a mild intolerance to eggs and usually feels sick if she eats them.
