Desdimir is a Great Martian Luna Moth - the passion project of past a bioengineer from Mars' biosphere creation era. Born in the slime swamps of the great Martian wilderness, Desdimir's wings are full of a bioluminescent, symbiotic algae that feeds him via photosynthesis. He will continue to slowly, endlessly grow, fying around serenely until he meets his end to something external. Desdimir is estimated to be about 50 years old, based on his size.

Desdimir was found and named by Deimos, and always seems to return to him. It's difficult to tell what a moth is thinking, but the two seem to have formed a friendship. He lets humans ride him sometimes.
