All mechanical parts are hidden under the skin - wings are non-functional removable to expose charging inlet. I've got a vague idea of the "skeleton" per-se but I've never drawn it. If you want to draw your interpretation of that feel free (sorry this is copy pasted from artfight lol). Maybe worth mentioning the bulky bits are mostly foam padding to provide shape. Most of the vital electronics are in the abdominal region and base of the tail, which are immobile. Head is mostly animatronic mechanisms to control facial expressions (shape, height, and width of eyebrows, eye direction, angle of horns [or stabilisers...? Not that they're stabilising much on a flightless robot. Let's call them decorative stabilisers] and mouth of course).
Might be worth noting that EV's intelligence isn't contained within the body which is too small for all of the components that would be required to simulate sentient AI. Their intelligence is instead hosted on a server, which definitely leads to some bigger issues with latency on the occasion that they are working wirelessly. The animatronic is more of an avatar, or interface via which they interact with the physical world (visually, tactilely, etc..). That being said, they definitely have a lot of issues with identity, worsened since they lost their job, and prefer to be able to use their 'body' at any cost. Having always had this animatronic body, any time during which this connection is unavailable the closest approximation EV experiences is something akin to paralysis (while also losing all other senses); able to think freely, but unable to access or interact with the world at all. Understandably, this is stressful. Since their dismissal from the company, they spend most of the time living connected via a wired connection to the server, minimising latency issues and hopefully avoiding any such complete severances.
Oh, and paying for that server is definitely what bankrupt the company lol, can't even shut it down either, whatever universe this is has laws in place to prevent that. EV is now a super cool government expense. Their body's in-built components are other top-of-the-line parts which are used mostly to simulate and control motion, balance and the such.
