Profile
Empathetic, devout, and steadfast. He often seems lost in thought and is prone to bouts of sentimental melancholy. Although he tries to keep a tight clamp over his personal feelings in favor of following his moral principles, he can never hide the passionate rage he feels upon seeing injustice and, depending on his mental state, can sometimes become lost in his own self-righteous fury.
In better times, he is encouraging, radiant, and gregarious and has an offbeat sense of humor. He is very concerned with propriety and can, at times, be easily flustered. Despite everything, there is still a part of him that is very much still a prim and proper knight.
Studious and astute, he is a skilled swordsman who is trained in the use of a variety of weapons, making him a formidable opponent even after the loss of his powers.
An Arbiter, a nigh-immortal holy knight, whose loyalty is sworn to the Old Gods who were once worshiped all across Auster. The continent vaguely resembles Victorian England, with rudimentary magitechnology being developed primarily by the once-great Khidian Empire.
His patron is the First Goddess, the Goddess of Water. Her blessing grants him control over water and ice magic, and in Her name, he once performed many Arbitrations - holy judgments supposedly ordained by the Gods - in order to settle matters both political and criminal. When the church fell, he abandoned his post, but in his heart, he still believes in the Old Gods and their divine justice. He makes it his quest to punish all evildoers for their crimes and forcibly enlists Enoch to help him in this endeavor, but is shocked when Enoch - fascinated by his moral character - willingly joins him. The two become entangled in a complex relationship as Lysandre grapples with his abstruse feelings on shifterkind.
In the aftermath of the world's salvation, all of the existing Arbiters are reverted back to normal humans. Lysandre, who has not experienced mortality in years, dedicates himself to the rebellion's reconstruction efforts as he struggles to find his place in this world without the Old Gods.
He becomes a frequent visitor to the Archive, seeing Enoch as a source of respite from the hubbub of the rebuilding city. Unsure exactly of what his own feelings on his former enemy are, Lysandre finds himself growing closer, approaching a distance that flouts the line between friendship and love.
