Gibbous

Gibbous is the god of the mind and the moon. He spends most of the time dipping in and out of people’s dreams, helping them sleep or sending nightmares if he deems they deserve it. To those who he deems have done unreddemable things, he will send unrelenting nightmares, causing the individual to go mad from lack of sleep and exhaustion. This eventually kills the individual where they are then sent to the dark side of the moon. 

Because many of the people he sends nightmares to are people in power or people with a strong following, much of the population has grown a strong hatred of him. They call him Dread’, and they believe he is the god of nightmares. Their is a folklore in one community telling of ‘the great serpent’ coming down and eating all the bad children who don’t listen to their parents. 

In reality he loves the human race (most of them anyway), and he hasn’t eaten anyone (yet). He has a few people in mind however that he is tempted to eat
