About
"The theme of my research is: 'Bringing out the power of Pokémon.'"Colress is a Pokemon researcher, and is quite proud of it. He studies the bonds between Pokemon and humans, and how to awaken the true power of a Pokemon. Alongside that, he's a brilliant inventor that is fond of robotics and chemistry.
He's a powerful trainer, knowing how to weild his Pokemon effectively, though he isn't the kindest to them. He's a bit hypocritical, since he claims the positive bond between trainer and Pokemon are what draws out their power. Robotic and alien Pokemon are the easiest for him to care for, as he's not the best at caring for most living creatures.
Colress also tends to focus on himself-- his wants and needs take priority over others. His morals focus on how things affect him, resulting in him coming off as rather cold and uncaring. However, he's surprisingly adept at concealing how he feels on a given topic. He's trained himself to hide behind a pleasant facade-- bottling everything up until the pot boils over. As a result, he tends to get too caught up in his lies and fake attitude.

Personality
Colress' attitude could be described as, quite simply, robotic. His actions feel practiced, and he rarely expresses anything outside of general pleasantness. However, he's much like a volcano-- bottling all of his emotions up until they are forced to show. When they do, it's not pretty, strong, and somewhat destructive. This is particularly notable when his anger shows, since he has a tendency to get "smashy". It's quite common for Colress to smash one of his projects out of frustration or a lack of results.
Colress is also an unreliable narrator, being prone to lying. This is especially present post-BW2, as he's paranoid about the law catching up to him. Since he prioritizes himself over others, it's common for him to put others down to save his own skin. Even people he's close to, such as Ghetsis, aren't safe from this.
There's a sharp contrast between the persona Colress formed for himself, and who he truly is. He's percieved to be a kind, yet helpless, scientist that is simply doing the best he can. In reality, he's an anxious, hyperactive, and emotional wreck that could explode at the drop of a hat. He refuses to admit that he needs any help, regardless of who it's from.

Colress is usually seen wearing long lab coats, gloves, and business casual attire. Around the house, he defaults to a t-shirt and fluffy Magnemite-pattern pants. His glasses are oval shaped, and he prefers more monochrome outfits, with hints of blue. He almost always carries his folding tablet, built by himself. He's also rather fond of accessorizing with pins and stickers, usually depicting electric and steel type Pokemon.
Colress' hair is combed back, and his blue hair lock is strangely natural. When his hair is down, he'll sweep his bangs to his right, and his blue lock is pinned back. In public, he avoids showing much skin, but in private he cares less.

Relationships
Colress' romantic partner. One of the only people he trusts with his full range of emotions. Despite this, their relationship is a bit rocky in the current day, due to Colress trying to avoid incarceration and getting too caught up in his lies. They haven't spoken much lately.
Colress' older sister. He's not as open with her as Lusamine would wish, and she's noticing his stress and lies catching up to him. She does what she can to help him, though Colress tries hard to avoid it and pretend everything is fine.
Technical stepson. N wants to be close with Colress, though he wishes the scientist would be nicer to his Pokemon. Colress is quite distant from N, and he hasn't shown strong emotions around N since he was a young child.
