Yoali

"Sorry I'm late! I was helping someone wash their dog."

Yoali first came to The Radient Citadel as a young child, his family refugees fleeing from volcanic activity that destroyed their home. They found a new home and community in the Citadel and Yoali strives to continue passing that good will forward to help anyone in need.

Mostly this involves doing a lot of odd jobs for people who can't or don't have the time/energy/skills to do them themselves. He will help your grandma cross the street safetly, go grochery shopping for someone stuck at home, fix broken appliances, heck even wash your dog if you need that (He'll be very happy to help you with any dog related tasks). Sometimes though, he will get involved in more dangerous tasks, going away from the citadel to help rescue people in danger.

Yoali responded to a quest notice asking for a group of adventurer's to check on the client's friend who had been sending them worrying letters. The letters referenced a tradition of the sender's village: The Awakening Festival, but with extra ominous messaging inviting people to come and join her, referencing someone who had died long ago, and even some (non-bloody) red handprints.

When the crew arrive the investigate the festival seems to be going as normal - that is until a group of farmers start attacking random festival goers. After subduing the farmers the group can clearly see they're not acting by their own will (glowing red eyes do tend to indicate that) and hearing the farmers are from the very area the party is going to investigate only make the situation even more worrying.

With the help of a couple of npcs the party makes their way to the seculded farming village where the sender of the letter, Kianna, lives. They almost get wiped out by wolves on the way when they stop to help a farmer being chased by some but make it out with only two characters having to roll death saves (we're fine!)

Further down the road the party is ambushed by dismenbered crawling hands, but these are dealt with swiftly. Once the party finally arrived at their destination the creepy hand theme only continues to escalte. They find rows and rows of empty houses, each marked with a red clay handprint, and inside them are human skeletal remains, only missing the bones of their arms. They enter the one house not marked by a hand and after some searching and yet more dismembered hand encounters they find a path leading underground. There they find many dead bodies as well as Kianna, clearly under control of an undead monster made up of, you guessed it, the missing arms. She seems to think it's her childhood friend come back to life. After some failed deescalation the party defeat the undead as well as most of the hands that try to escape and bring Kianna back to the safety of her home and friends.
