Marigold

A small unicorn afflicted by the curse from a witch's rouge familiar.

Marigold was a timid unicorn, quietly tending to her secluded forest home, having inherited her role as guardian of the land's magic.
She had a complicated relationship to magic, knowing from experience how its allure could corrupt the mind and body of those that used it. Due to this, she struggled to properly attend to her duties in the forest, which stunted her abilities.

One ill-fated day, she had a run in with a trickster hare, who had grown desperate by a connection to borrowed magic. Determining that Marigold was a primary source of the forest's energy, the hare used his remaining powers to convince Marigold to relinquish her magic to him. In return, he promised to give her the courage to stand as a proper guardian of the forest. 

Falling for the ruse, the hare was able to siphon the magic from her, and through the act left her with a curse that corrupted her body. With the fangs, talons, and appetite of a beast, Marigold struggled to coexist with her forest home as she once had. In her inability to act as a guardian, the nature around her began to morph into a strange and twisted landscape, forming to the will of the hare.

Marigold is currently attempting to hunt the the hare down and return order to both herself and the land, but it's no easy feat.
