Jackrabbit

Once an ordinary hare, Jackrabbit's fate was changed when a novice witch infused his body with magic, intending to keep him as a familiar. With this newfound power and awareness surging through him, Jackrabbit became fascinated with the world and the way that magic could shape it. He acted as an excellent familiar to the witch, biding his time and learning as much about magic as he could from the witch's practices.

There was one major problem; due to the witch's poor control on magic, the power that was given to Jackrabbit was botched. It required far too much magic to sustain his familiar status.
The witch struggled to provide this magic to Jackrabbit, and ultimately came to the conclusion that he would need to be released from his position, and return to being an ordinary animal.

This wasn't a fate that Jackrabbit could stomach to face- there was far too much to still see and learn in the world.

Using the knowledge he had acquired as a familiar, he was able to forcefully break his contract with the witch and escape. However, this didn't come without complication. With no witch to sustain his borrowed magic, Jackrabbit had to find a new source to draw from, and quick.

Luckily, fate seemed to have delivered the perfect opportunity to him in his most desperate moment.
