As a person, Viridian is very interesting. They seem to be a confident introvert, in a way. At first glance, they appear to be very quiet and a bit of a wallflower. They prefer to stay to the side and observe versus actively interacting. While they can keep up short conversations with strangers who interact with them first, they often won't go out of their way to talk to those they don't know. They are what many may consider a shadow, coming and going with barely a trace. They're obviously soft and cute, which is shown in many of their mannerisms. They typically move in gentle and elegant ways, and have a softspoken, polite tone at many times. However, they also have very strange vibes. They come off as oddly ominous, sort of a subtly menacing, restrained chaos incarnate sort of energy. They have weirder mannerisms alongside the cute ones, some that people find confusing. They're a total mystery, and may come off as shady as a result. However, get to know them better, or just see them when they're alone and comfortable with themself, and a very different side of them is unleashed. They are a HUGE dork. They're very intelligent from an academic point of view. They put a lot of energy into their interests and pursuing knowledge, and are happy to share just that with you. They will very commonly fall down rabbit holes of information while learning, and love knowing every detail of just about everything they can. They get very passionate about what they like, and love to go on info-dumps of sorts to anyone willing to listen. They also love hearing the same in return, even if they don't have a full understanding of what they're hearing. Alongside this, they are very sweet and soft. They're a very kind and selfless soul, always there to give those around them a helping hand. They have a deep interest and knowledge surrounding psychology, and often put that to work to help those in need. They're supportive and open to those closest to them, always willing to act as a shoulder to cry on. They're like a strong tree trying to help the saplings around them thrive. They're very imaginative, allowing them to innovate all sorts of potential solutions to people's issues. They also use this creativity in very artistic ways, and love to express themself like that. While they're a soft cutie, they're also surprisingly bold and cheeky. They're a bit of a gremlin and a meme machine when they want to be. They have a chaotic streak, and quite like the idea of having wild fun. This can surprise a lot of people, which they love doing. They love making others smile and laugh, whether it be through sweet support or dumb jokes.

However, Viridian isn't without their flaws. They often come off almost eerily calm and patient. They do their best not to show incredibly strong emotions around others. However, they are in truth incredibly sensitive and emotional. They have a lot of struggles with anxiety and depression, alongside struggles from their past, which are often bolstered by their imagination. They can find it very easy to imagine and worry about the worst possible scenario, but do their best to focus on the positive and stay as optimistic as they can. Sometimes it's easy for them to lose themself in their own mind. They can get upset over even the most minor inconveniences, and cry very easily at times. They have trouble with their motivation and energy, sometimes to the point of struggling to want to do anything but sleep. Their work ethic is very up and down as a result of this. Sometimes they procrastinate or outright forget until the last minute, but other times they get very dedicated and inspired. Their social interaction works in a very similar way. Sometimes they could be mistaken as a popular extrovert, being bold and outgoing. Other times, or really once their tolerance for being social is up, they can get very moody and tired, needing time to simply do their own thing and not be perceived. They struggle with choice anxiety and indecision, often preferring to go with the flow versus being forced into making the choices. They can be pushed around in small ways, though of course they're much more wiling to stand up for themself under circumstances that would go against their morals. They're also more willing to put their energy into standing up for others than for themself. However, they also struggle with opening up to others about these issues, among others. They know that they should, but they often prefer keeping their emotions back unless they truly can't handle it. Even when they do want to reach out, they can struggle with wanting to follow through. They worry a lot about burdening others, or about their issues not being taken seriously. They greatly prefer being the one to take on others' struggles versus having their own focused on. They're selfless to a fault, to say the least. They're not certain why they struggle to open up, aside from perhaps out of associations from their past. However, they're trying their best with this.

Viridian is a master of light magic. They have a large tome that they use to cast spells. However, instead of being filled with words they have to read off, their tome acts like more of a sketchbook. In order to perform magic, they have to draw runes. For small spells they can often just trace these shapes in midair, but for larger ones they use a quill and the tome. The feather they often keep in their hat is their quill. The magic they cast takes on the appearance of plants made out of light, for reasons no one is quite sure of. For healing spells for instance (their forte), the plants often resemble medicinal herbs and flowers. More offense-based spells, on the contrary, resemble thorny vines, carnivorous plants, or sometimes even fungi. As expected upon hearing that, healing isn't the only thing they can do. They're soft and sweet, but also an unexpected badass. While small and cute, they have the strength to kick your ass. They probably wouldn't under normal circumstances, but let it be known that they absolutely could. Be it physically, or with strong light magic, they can definitely take care of themself..

• Their face is a mystery. No one's really sure whether it's a mask or just all they have. When questioned, they usually just say something cryptic like "I guess we'll never know!" while looking all cute and unsuspecting.
• They are a HUGE foodie. They love to cook, and they especially love to eat. They're open to trying all sorts of cuisine! Their own cooking often revolves around old family recipes of theirs. They have a huge cookbook full of all their most special recipes, and love adding to it whenever they find a new one they enjoy.
• They have a big sweet tooth, and love baking various treats. Their favorite sweet thing out there is macarons, though they have steady competition.
• They really love the flavors of lavender, lemon, hazelnut, mint (more mild mint though haha) chocolate, and spice (think like cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.)
• They really love fancy drinks, like especially lavender lattes and such. However, they have a horrible habit with coffee-based beverages. If it tastes good, it'll be gone in probably five minutes tops. If it has high caffeine content, they'll have the jitters for hours after. As such, they try to limit how much they drink coffee beverages. They do make up for this with tea though. Especially chai tea lattes are likely their favorite hot drink.
• They love plants a lot! They particularly raise herbs and spices that they can use in cooking or making essential oils and such. However, they also love raising other types of plants! Particularly carnivorous plants, cacti, succulents, and various types of flowers. They very much treat their plants like their children.
• They absolutely love scented things! Candles, soap, bath bombs, you name it and they love it. While they really love floral/nature-y, "masculine" scents, alongside citrusy and spicy scents, they especially adore the scent of coffee soaps haha.
• They often use essential oils they make to create things like soaps and candles! Sometimes they'll sell these and the oils they create in a sort of freelance business, but otherwise it's mainly for just them.
• They are very creative, and have a huge artistic drive! They love to create art, be it drawn, built, or written. They especially love drawing, painting, jewelry-making (particularly with dried flowers of theirs), and pressed flower art. They often write prose, though also quite enjoy poetry too.
• Surprisingly, they are quite the gamer. Their favorite genre out there is hack-and-slash, character-action type games (their top favorite games of all time would be Bayonetta, Nier Automata, and Metal Gear Rising.) However, they also really love rhythm games, RPGs (specifically action RPGs like Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles), and cozy little games (like Animal Crossing and Pokemon.)
• They have very diverse taste in music. Their specific tastes shift around, sometimes they'll fixate on one genre for a while, then shift to another. While there are some genres they aren't particularly a fan of, they can really find at least one song in any genre that they'd like. However, they especially have a soft spot for rock, artcore, alternative, and artists with hard-to-classify genres. They also LOVE listening to video game soundtracks, especially those of their favorite games.
• They are a HUGE music nerd. While they don't know a lot about the terminology and heavy specifics of music theory (like they can tell key and time changes, but couldn't specifically pinpoint which key or time signature just by ear), they do have a long history with being involved in music. They're able to read sheet music and know a lot about music in general, and will tell you all about it if you let them.
• They really love plushies, like a lot. They collect them often. Some go on display on shelves, while others are their cuddle buddies. They especially love more unconventional plushes. For instance, some of their favorites to cuddle are a venus fly trap and a crow dressed like a king. However, they also love cuter plushes all the same.
• They ADORE corvids. Especially crows and ravens, but really any are super cool to them. They have likely befriended many crows in their lifetime.
• They also love cats, bunnies, mustelids (especially ferrets!), and owls!
• They are an anime nerd haha. They have shockingly edgy tastes, really loving more action-oriented or horror series. However, they can also settle down with a cuter, funnier series. Their tastes in other television and movies is often the same. They're either there for hardcore action/horror, or a cute and lighthearted time. Their favorite movie of all time would probably be Promare haha.
• They might have a bit of an obsession with cute keychains. Their keys are comically bulky because of this.
• They really like going out for small reasons. Take them to a gas station or grocery store, or out to dinner or something, and they'll love it. Just heading into town to look around is fun for them.
• They really love things like thrift stores, farmer's markets, garage sales, flea markets, all those sorts of things. Anywhere they can find either handmade or second-hand knick-knacks is cool with them!
• They really love fancy fashion! They always go out looking their best. Which, for them, means they look like they just stepped out of one of their favorite games haha.
• However, they're also not opposed to casual fashion! They like loungewear too, but always go out looking their absolute best.
• They are surprisingly cuddly. They love to snuggle and are much more affectionate to others than one may expect. While they can be shy and hesitant at first, they'll just melt if you give them a good hug. Even moreso if you play with their hair.
• They put great care into their hygiene, unsurprisingly given their adoration for scented things. They really love bathing and find it very comforting, and always deck out their baths with things like bath bombs.
• They really love rocks, crystals, fossils, and bones! Especially little crystal bottles and taxidermied skulls they love. They like displaying them alongside their plants. Their shelves are very nature-y as a result.
