Romeo is considered a mature and empathatic child, raised carefully and taught self-respect and self-care from a young age. Mental health is a topic spoken about openly in their family, Romeo having been taught grounding methods and having open discussions from a young age that ensures xe has a very kind mindset towards mental illness. Because of this they're often the first to try to help if they notice another child experiencing anxiety, regardless of if they know each other or not. Xis deadpan demeanor can sometimes be misread as apathy or a lack of care, but their actions speak louder than their words. They work hard to remember people's preferences, and to be kind even to strangers. While understanding to use caution, they're also not afraid to give to somebody even if they may be lying. In their mind, they likely need it anyway... It's just a matter of why.
Quevi was born into a loving family. Kiohri and Theo were ecstatic to have a healthy child, and Romeo's older sibling Lillie was excited to have a sibling. Ever since xe can remember, their family has always spoken freely about their feelings and thoughts. Because of that compassion, Quevi and their sibling had open communication. Lillie has expressed their slight discomfort with certain types of magic, and Quevi has always made sure to keep that in mind. When Quevi first began public schooling in middle school, they quickly made friends with several of the other students and began to notice the ways they all differed. Their entire life they'd known about the gender spectrum, Kiohri was open about their gender expression, as was their sibling. When asked for xis preference of uniform; masculine, feminine, or androgynous, Quevi asked for time to think. Xe went home and had a long conversation with their family; expressing their confusion about the topic. Kiohri and Theo had prepared a potential answer a long time ago, though. "You have your whole life to figure out the details, why not tell us what you prefer now though?" It wasn't long after that that Quevi adopted their common name; Romeo. Starting puberty blockers and beginning to experiment with labels. For now, there is no set answer; and they understand that that's okay.
Quevi has a very positive relationship with Theo, the two have always been close as have Quevi and Kiohri. Theo and Quevi often go out to thrift stores together and enjoy looking for Quevi new hoodies.
Despite an age gap of almost 18 years, Lillie and Quevi have a good relationship. The two may not always see eye-to-eye, but they communicate openly and kindly with each other.
When Quevi was younger, xe and Setev were much closer. Nowadays they seem a bit strained... Quevi swears something feels off about Setev's kindness. Kiohri and Theo are trying to let them sort things themselves, since it doesn't seem to be out of hand. The two clearly care a lot about each other as well.
Quevi and Kiohri have a good relationship, and Kiohri often makes time to spend with both their children doing various activities to make sure they both feel appreciated
