Hana’s Childhood

Hana was raised by her mother and older sister, Miyuna, she was dependable and always took good care of her. Her friends Akimatsu, Wataru and Taishiro were her partners in crime, they were always up to mischief because of Hana. She became friends with Wataru when he was being bullied, Hana disliked injustice and learned to protect others from her sister so she went to rescue Wataru from his bullies. Akimatsu was caring and always tried to get Hana out of trouble despite his harsh remarks. Hana had met Taishiro a year later, according to Wataru, Taishiro was a good friend of his. Hana didn’t like how she was no longer the only protector of Wataru so she always competed with Taishiro for whoever Wataru liked more.

Trauma oh no

Despite being raised without a father she was already used to living with her mother and sister. It was almost like he never existed at all, all she really needed was her friends and family. She was comfortable living this way, until Taishiro left without a word, he had suddenly moved away without telling Wataru or Hana where he had moved to. Soon after, Wataru moved to America with his family due to his parents' business doing well. However Wataru kept in touch with Hana, but one day he stopped responding. Hana felt helpless and alone without her friends, she couldn’t help but believe that her friends left her because they didn’t enjoy her company. Akimatsu tried to convince her otherwise but she wouldn’t listen. She went to Miyuna for help, she suggested making new friends, so Hana tried to make friends once more but they made fun of her for being left all alone (implying her father and friends).

The reason why she is the way she is…

It was unbearable for her to be left alone after all she was used to everyone liking her. She tried to ask her older sister for advice again, this time Miyuna led Hana to her own friends and tried to help Hana in any way she could. This was when Hana believed the only way she could fit in with everyone else was to be like her sister, a role model for who everyone liked, this seemed like the simple answer she had been looking for. She stopped her mischievous behavior and tried to act more like her sister. Miyuna quickly caught onto Hana’s sudden actions and told her to stop immediately, but Hana was too focused on the friends/relationships she could get a hold of with her imitation of her sister’s personality she decided she would only act like her sister when she wasn't around.

Present

As time went on her relationship with her older sister became worse without her awareness of it, so when they had debuted as idols together Hana finally felt that she had the attention she wanted but Miyuna snapped. It was after a car accident when the two had been going home together, Hana was so worried about Miyuna’s condition at this point she saw her more as an object she needed as reference than as her older sister. Miyuna told Hana to stay away from her, this was a shock to Hana because this was different from the Miyuna she had always looked up to. Hana felt lost once again, but as she was leaving her sister’s hospital room she heard music from the room next door. She felt frustrated by this happy music, it reminded her of the childhood memories she wanted to forget, the friends who had left her, her idol career, her sister, the music reminded her of it all. She opened the door to find two students of her age, a boy playing the guitar and a girl who seemed to be a hospital patient lying in bed. The sight of the two made Hana’s heart sink, she wanted to yell at them but she started to cry instead. Her head was clouded with memories of her childhood, she wanted to go back to those simple days. The boy seemed familiar with Hana and asked her if she was okay, without thinking she snapped out her frustration and left the room in embarrassment.
