Damon Haley-Yuan
A heavyset young mixed asian man with curly brown hair and freckles. He has the exact opposite of resting bitch face in the way that he always seems to have a gentle smile on his face.
He was Myrinne's older brother, a plant mage, and an aspiring doctor. He did not inherit the tremendous amount of magical power that both their grandfather and Myrinne did, but he nonetheless sought to use his limited power to help people.

story
It’s not easy being the eldest grandchild of a powerful mage, especially when you did not inherit the same level or even affinity of magic, but Damon managed to make his way through life alright.
The son of a doctor and a baker, and the grandson of one of the most powerful wind mages that ever lived. Damon has had a very strange balance between power and domesticity in his life. A balance further complicated when his little sister was found to have the same gifts as their grandfather, and immediately whisked off to be trained as a successor to his legacy.
Yet he always remained near her side through it all, having felt only warmth and love toward his baby sister from the moment his mother let him hold her. This love, unfortunately, would become his undoing.
While walking with his sister in the woods near their hometown, he sensed someone was following and watching them. A suspicion that would be confirmed when their stalker attacked them both, injuring Damon severely as he pushed himself between his sister and their attacker. With the last of his strength and consciousness, he attempted to reassure his sister while telling her to run as fast as she could back to town.
