Personality

Thoreus is a cheerful viking although a bit reclusive towards most vikings and dragons, belonging from the Vanquisher Tribe of Trembling Island which is located in between 2 bigger mountainous islands known as the Drop of Helheim and the Roaring Isle. He can be a bit daft and struggle to understand stuff like even the simplest of jokes on the first try but he can be a hard worker that can quickly learn from his mistakes. A bit of a jokester from time to time trying to put smile on the faces of others he can be serious when the situation requires it even though a few puns or jokes might be saved for the occasion. One of his pastimes is fishing or building stuff for he has an eye towards decorations and trinkets. His dragon specialty is in the Mystery Class of dragons and he find them really amusing for their diverse styles and abilities, he likes to see them in the wild and try to befriend them if he has too even if he has fire coming his way from disapproving dragons of his behavior. Allergic to dragon nip he tries to avoid it at all cost since it causes him to sneeze quite a bit.

Backstory

In a distant island not well know across the seas by other vikings lived the Vanquisher Tribe in which the Glorison Clan lived in as the Clan in charge of fishing for the rest of the Tribe. Even and Gyda Glorison were the face of the Clan and their son was known as Thoreus. Like most viking tribes this was no different with the dragon attacks trying to take over the livestock pretty much every day and vikings fought them off as much as they could. Sheeps, Yaks and Chickens were always scarce but the viking Tribe always managed to get the numbers back up. The leader of the tribe known as Osmond along with the rest of the Clan Leaders had always speculated that a dragon residing in the Roaring Isle was to blame for the attacks they've always gotten during the years but it was too dangerous to approach since the dragons protecting it were quite fierce with species such as Rumblehorns which could easily defend against arrows, Thornridges attacking from the shadows, 3 Flightmares that froze up most animals and vikings in their tracks long enough to capture them and Changewings blocking the exits and melting weapons down with their acid.

One day on the island, Colborn a very rebellious viking in the tribe and leader of another Clan had just arrived with another one of his failed attempts at getting into the island his fleet going  from 9 to 3. Guiding his fleet into bad waters and caused ships to get demolished by the sea stacks, Most of the villagers agreed that he was too obsessed with taking down the island for he thought destroying it would solve all the problems the Vanquisher Tribe was going through. Osmond, Even and the other Clan Leaders tried to talk him out of his insane dream to not risk losing hundreds of men every time. Even and Colborn were in a heated argument even outside debating on what to do about it and Colborn persisted that they must go take down the dragons in the island and it would be easier if all the clans decided to invade it together but Even refused as he believed Colborn was risking more than he should've to invade it and take them all out. Even walked away from it realizing there was no way of getting through to him, Colborn angrily looked at him and muttered under his breath "I'll show you." and he made his way in the opposite direction. Somewhere in the forests were two boys playing together hide and seek “Ready or not here i come!” a boy yelled out. The boy was looking behinds rocks and trees and even inside bushes until he glanced over further away someone facing their back towards him crouched down and he started to sneak up to him and patted their back “Found you Thoreus!” he shouted.

“Shoot… You’re too good at this game Iver.” Thoreus whined looking up at his friend with dark skin and brown messy hair “I know! It’s soo easy! I can win this all day!” he gloated. They both were having fun that night but as the was happening back in the village Colborn was hatching a devious plan, he had gathered up most of the  members of his clans aswell as vikings that agreed with his point of view in attempts to do a coup and take control of the tribe and do what has to be done and what he thinks is the best thing he can do to lead the Vanquisher Tribe even if it meant taking down those the didn't see things how they should. Soon they began setting flames everywhere to intimidate the rest of the villagers. One of the leaders that noticed what was happened immediately went to report what was happening to Osmond. Osmond was surprised but he expecting something like that to happen some day knowing Colborn was slowly getting unstable even for him to handle, he looked at the clan leader then informed him to sound off the horns and evacuate everyone from the fires. Even heard the horns meaning that they were being attacked and grabbed his gear and quickly ran outside. Being outside he noticed there were a lot of fires but no dragons in sight and couldn't understand what was happening and began looking around in a rush, he heard shouting coming from a corner and glanced at what looked like 3 vikings surrounding someone before quickly finishing him off right there. He hid behind a barrel confused at what he witnessed and began to think until it hit him that 2 of them were wearing the same type of clothing as Colborn's Clan.

He rushes back to his home and informed Gyda of what he thought was happening and asked for her to look for Thoreus and get to safety, a worried look came across her face knowing that Thoreus had been out late in the forest and hasn't been back and both headed to the forest in search of their son. Thoreus and Iver were chatting over their day and how Iver wanted to be a great Dragon Killer like his dad Colborn. They both laughed but stopped as the smell of smoke hit them. “Do you smell that?” Iver asked Thoreus, “Yes I do, Must be another dragon attack we should head back to our homes before one of them chows on us.” Thoreus suggested. They nodded and they both started walking to Thoreus’ home. Even and Gyda were looking over the forest for Thoreus but couldn’t find him anywhere, They started to grow more worried by the minute and all of a sudden they both ducked as they heard distant chatting. It was Colborn and some of his men “We will not rest until we find Osmond and make him see things how they should be. And if he disagrees send him to the chopping block as well as anyone that follows his belief." Colborn shouted. They both listened closely but then someone grabbed them by their arms and lifted them up. One of Colborn’s men, he proceeded to shout at Colborn that he found Even and his wife. Both of them shocked at what happened knowing they were caught and began to toss around trying to break free from the man's grasp, Even headbutted the guy knocking him out but to no effect as they were already quickly surrounded.

Thoreus and Iver arrived at his house but not only did they see Thoreus' house on fire but most of the houses as well along with vikings with weapons around the village chasing other less defended vikings "W-What’s going on?” Iver stuttered, “I d-don’t know but we got to find our parents, I know they're safe. They must’ve runned off into the forest if something bad like this happened.” Thoreus calmed down a bit with the reassurance of his friend and both headed back into the forest trying to look for their parents. They ran for what seemed hours until they found a hut surrounded by armed vikings with angry expressions, they realized that in the hut’s window was a couple of vikings tried up Thoreus gasped as he realized it was his parents along with two other Clan Leaders. “What are we going to do??” Iver asked shakily “We got to find a way to save them or something." Thoreus said trying to analyze the house for a way to get in. Iver nodded and looked around too noticing a lone guard around the back “We take that one by surprise and knock him out to steal his crossbow.” he suggested. Thoreus nodded and both started to sneak up to the viking, Thoreus pounced on his and clinged on his back as it fail to affect the grown viking. He tried to get Thoreus off of him but as he looked forwards he saw Iver standing infront of him “Hi!” Iver proceeded to punch the viking in the face completely knocking him out. "How did you do that?" Thoreus asked amazed "No time to explain!"

Iver took the crossbow and tried to aim to the window and inside the house but as soon as he aimed chatting inside the house began. Even and Gyda tied up with the two other viking leaders as Colborn walked inside "Don't take this the wrong way Even I'm not angry from before this is a personal grudge against Osmond, all I want from you is to tell me where he is and if you change your mind about the way things go maybe I'll even forgive you." he said grabbing an axe and lifting Even's head with it. "I don't know where he is and if I knew I wouldn't tell you Colborn, your plan is to get us all killed wether is against the dragons or against you." Even growled at him. "See that just makes things easier for me, allow me to give you and example." Colborn grinned signaling one of his mens and they both grabbed one of the vikings that was tied up next to them, the viking began begging but quickly a swift motion of Colborn's axe ran through the man's head chopping it. "I'll ask you again Even, where's Osmond?" Colborn kneeled down and glared "Not sure how many time I have to tell you, I don't know." Colborn stood up even more annoyed "I'll need to motivate you then." he gave the signal and the vikings held up both Gyda and the other viking. Even's anger quickly rose and Gyda began bawling asking him to stop and repeated himself "For the last time I don't know!" Colborn smiled "You see I just don't think you're being honest." Colborn held up his axe and with another quick swing Gyda fell to the floor. Even was shocked as tears ran down his face not able to process what had just happened in front of it "I'll find my answers elsewhere." Colborn said as he began making his way out of the hut but stopped "And one more thing." he made a signal towards a viking with a crossbow on the front and handed his weapon to Colborn. "You won't be leaving." he then shot an arrow at Even's leg causing him to let out a loud scream of agony  which soon caused him to pass out and Colborn left.

Thoreus couldn't move, he was frozen in fear but Iver quickly pushed him into a bush with himself as the vikings along with Colborn passed by them not noticing them. "W-Was that your-" Thoreus almost muttered before he got cut of by Iver "Dad? Yes I don't know what's happening but it doesn't look safe. We have to get you of here." Iver said worrily "What about Dad? We can't leave him there." Thoreus said tearing up "You're right, do you know where the boat you and your dad use when you guys go fishing?" Iver asked and Thoreus nodded "Then we'll have to drag him there." Iver said. They both grabbed onto Even's passed out body and began dragging it out of the cabin into the woods and into the beach where they place Even's fishing ship, they placed him onto the ship and sat down. "What do we now? Mom's gone, Dad's shot with an arrow and the village is completely in flames." Thoreus said shaking as the realization of everything began hitting him. "You guys have to sail out, I'll have to face my dad about this but I'm not sure I'll manage to convince him to stop what he's doing. But he won't do anything to me, I know he won't I'm his son after all." Iver said as he stood up "No you can't I can't leave you here!" Thoreus shouted "Not your choice buddy, this is something I have to do." Iver replied and began setting the ship and as it

  Personality: Thoreus and Meteorblast first encounter was certainly a blast as the egg hatched even before it was placed near lava to heat it up, the two ever since have been an inseparable duo but don't tell Meteorblast that. Meteorblast is a rebel of a dragon and prefers to do nothing most of the time and avoiding the orders of his rider, if Thoreus says left he'll go right. His favorite snack is Marble and is the closest of getting him to like a viking. Towards other vikings Meteorblast tends to be a bit of a more capable dragon following orders easier and quickly warming up to them. He can be really cranky when awoken from his naps and may snap at said person that dared to do so.
  Abilities: Meteorblast like most Gronckles shares an immunity towards dragon root which does no effect to him. One of his abilities involve being able to create various types of materials depending on what rocks he ate such as Gronckle Iron. Like all the other Gronckles he also shares the ability to recharge his shot limit by using rocks which can be a helpful ability to him to use in battle. Due to the ability of hovering smoothly they possess Meteorblast can fly in all direction with ease being able to move in tight spaces without much bumps as well as being able to drop from the air directly downwards.

  Personality: Malachite is a rather eccentric Smokebreath that is really picky on the metal she uses for her nest and only the metal of the highest quality is used such as gold. From failed attempts of being able to tame a Terrible Terror to send mail Thoreus went with a more unexpected approach and tried to tame a Smothering Smokebreath and with much work and dedication he managed to convinced this Smokebreath to send mails in exchange for a piece or two each time for her collection.
  Abilities: Malachite can create smoke and cover herself with it like all Smokebreath's and uses this ability to become harder to spot or aimed and even to sneak in and out of places without being identified immediately. Another ability she has is one similar to Armorwings where she can melt metal together and in this case melting them together to create a nest to live in.

  Personality: Given to him by Trader Johann as he was looking for a dragon with a bit more challenge to it to improve his skills as a rider he was given a Slithersong egg as one of the most recent products Johann had in his inventory. After long excruciating days he managed to calm down the dragon with fish more specifically salmon which Banshee immediately fell in love with. Living in an island with his father this dragon tends to guard the place from other dragons and vikings in exchange he gets fed all the salmon he could ask for although he's no stranger to eating other small animals such as birds from time to time. Banshee is a really clingy dragon towards Thoreus and is possibly the most obedient dragon he's trained as well as one of the biggests. Whenever Thoreus is in need for a dragon he can rely on Banshee will always be there to help.
  Abilities: Like it's close cousin species the Death Song Banshee a Slithersong is able to lure in it's prey with an alluring song that catches the ears of most dragons in a nearby area. Similar to that Banshee can also mimic the noises around him being roars of other dragons, birds chirping or noises vikings could make, it's favorite one tends to the bird chirps. Like the Death Songs and Slithersongs Banshee has the ability to shoot amber which can render it's target immobilized unable to move unless burned down by fire or high temperatures. Banshee like a few dragon species has the immunity of eels and being near one won't bother it nor will it affect him with the effects it would to normal dragons.

  Personality: Captured from it's parents as a hatchling by hunters to sell on for an auction across the seas for it's saliva and rarity this Buffalord spent a lot of it's time as a hatching in cages. On a morning patrol with Banshee the two encountered the ship carrying her and other dragons and decided to take action and the two headed off to try and rescue them with Thoreus fighting the hunters on the deck and Banshee covering the rest along with their weapons one by one in amber they managed to become immobilize for long enough for them to free all the dragons but this particular one stuck to the two following them not knowing where to go. Attempts of finding her family failed as it was hard enough to find more of her species so Thoreus decided to take care of her instead and now currently resides with them. Roseprickle is an affectionate Buffalord although spends most of her time eating grass like a yak but is also very fond of spending time in a pond refreshing herself with the water.
  Abilities: Buffalords like Roseprickle can inflate their bodies like pufferfish to scare away other dragons and vikings after it and the force of it can be strong enough to break several types of materials such as metal and wood. As a mean to defend itself Roseprickle can shoots spikes out of her body similar to the Deadly Nadder  but can only do so after inflating. Although quick to dry up her saliva is a necessary ingredient to cure the Scourge of Odin but without the herbs required to feed her it's quite useless.

Personality: An extremely territorial dragon when Thoreus first met him as a kid back in what was his home. Terrorfreeze was tamed after Thoreus went back to see if there was any trace of what happened back there or if anyone still resided there but with no luck he and Meteorblast had to face this Flightmare in combat but as the two fought Thoreus realized he was just trying to defend the island from a pack of scavenging Grim Gnashers since the dragons from the Roaring Isle began using it as their hatchery. With the help of the two they fended against the Gnashers and relocated them away from the three islands and with that action Terrorfreeze opened up to the two and quickly they bonded, with the glowing algae from the Drop of Helheim he and two other Flightmares have managed to sustain themselves for years. Now Terrorfreeze is always willing to give Thoreus a helping hand and has grown to be quite the softie towards him and the rest of his dragons although his protective nature does make it troublesome to get along with towards new vikings and dragons that meet him.
Abilities: Terrorfreeze like other Flightmares can produce a loud banshee-like scream that can slightly affect other dragons. The Flightmare can strike with a mist that paralyzes its prey to give itself enough time to return and finish it off. Its prey appears to have a glossy surface after being sprayed for a while. In order for the Flightmare to kill its prey with its mist, it needs to spray its prey for several seconds in order for it to freeze to death, for the temperatures reach below freezing or strike the prey down. When Terrorfreeze eats Glowing Algae he can shine brightly like the rest of the Flightmares.

  Personality: From a long search to find a Desert Rose to trade for a weapon he was after he instead encountered this dragon as it pounced out of the sand after him, trying his best to defend himself without the help of Meteorblast he began fighting back while trying his best not to hurt the dragon too much. He blocked blow after blow with his shield but on one charge of the dragon he was caught by surprise and as he raised his shield he noticed the dragon had stopped under it placing it's head under the shadow of the shield blocking it's head from the harsh desert heat and sunlight. Thoreus moved his shield ontop of the dragon on his way to find the rose and soon the two bonded on their the short journey. Clayton is a very aggressive dragon and will immediately pounce on anything it considers a threat without a second thought. Now babied a bit by Thoreus who built him a stable for him to stay cool in his desert home, he does visit him from time to tim to check up on his dragon friend who's always excited to see him again.
  Abilities: A subspecies of the Sand Wraith, Clayton is a Desert Wraith and like dragons from both species they have an uncanny ability to easily blend in with any sandy surrounding by burying itself under the sand and waiting for prey to appear so he can pounce on it. One of it's ability is to heat up sand inside of it and shoot a hardened hot ball of sand towards enemies.

  Personality: Exploring a dragon graveyard Thoreus walked upon a couple of Boneknapper much to his surprise. He noticed a larger one trying to swoon over a female but had no luck with it due to the lack of being able to roar properly. Thoreus and Meteorblast showed they weren't a threat towards it and slowly approached it carrying bones to try and appease it. Not amused the Boneknapper smacked the bones away but let them approach either way, soon the 3 of them looked around piles of bones and after a couple of days of hard work they managed to complete the Boneknapper's armor and it became forever grateful. The pack of Boneknappers flew away as he and Thoreus could meet another day. Calavera can be a sort of simple minded dragon and does what he needs to so he can get by although he has a heart of gold you wouldn't be able to notice it at first glance.
  Abilities: Boneknapper like Calavera share the ability to create a perfect armor of dragon bones to use to defend themselves no only from vikings but from other dragons as well due to them not having natural scales to defend themselves with. After finishing their bone armor he is now able to let out a deafening roar affecting nearby vikings as well as being useful to attract mates.

  Personality:  Noticing a flock of dragons flying away from an island as Thoreus made his way to the School of Dragons with Meteorblast they both went to check it out only to find a Thunderdrum and Scauldron in the air trying to best one another. They quickly got smacked away by the two bigger dragons in their attempts of making peace with the two looking around to see what could help he noticed all the vine from the islands trees and gave him and idea. He began working with the vines to make some sort of 2 large ropes with rocks attached to them, spending the whole next couple of days working on it by the time he came back the dragon were on separate parts of the island on guard staring at every corner. Thoreus soon extended the vines and attatched them from the two rocky stacks next to them making some sort of large vine wall extending from the edges of the island to the two pillars separating the two sides the dragons were on. The two dragons curiously made their way towards the vine wall inspecting it noticing they couldn't get across it underwater, the two stared at each other then back and Thoreus and Meteorblast. A bit intimidated by the two large dragons he began reaching into his bag and pulled out two brown trouts trying to make peace with them once more the two dragons confused but not wanting to pass out food made their way to him and sniffed the fishes only to quickly gobble them up which managed to ease them. The Thunderdrum sniffed him and then nudge it's snout towards the viking as the Scaudron finished licking him, noticing the Scauldron wasn't being a treat to his safety anymore he stopped the grudge he had against her bonding with the viking and his dragon as well with sharing the island with the Scauldron. Soundspike can be a very grumpy dragon and is a bit aggressive towards new dragons passing across the island he and Seapearl reside in, usually scaring of other dragons or vikings.
  Abilities: Sonic Blasts are the main ability for Thunderdrums, they make large blast of sounds that's said to stop even the strongest of viking right on it's tracks. With this ability he can make even large dragons get stunned for a short time trying to get back their sense of hearing. Soundspike can charge his blast to shoot a giant burst of blue flames but like all Thunderdrums this move takes up all of the dragon's energy. Being hard of hearing Soundspike struggles to properly follow vocal commands but for a Thunderdrum it's a good advantedge towards it's rival dragon the Death Song.

The Scauldron licked the viking after the strong fish smell from his hands made it's way to her an not seeing him as a treat and after that they both managed to bond with one another. Seapearl is a caring dragon that can be a bit of a baby and begging for fish from Thoreus every time he visits Pike and her.
  Abilities: A very potent venom is one of the Scauldron's ability and a drop of it can leave a viking in a lot of trouble but can be tended by someone with the required healing knowledge. Seapearl has an immunity towards the Blue Oleander and the poison she possesses can be used as a cure to dragon towards it. Scauldrons like some sea creatures can use electrical pulses to locate things underwater.

  Personality: This particular dragon was a big pain in Thoreus' father Even. One day this dragon began attacking his fishing boat trying to get away with a quick snack of fish he had gotten. Asking for the help of his son the two began trying to find a way to ease the massive dragon without it however his father didn't feel the same way. Thoreus, Even and Meteorblast went on the fishing trip together and on cue the dragon had arrived back, Thoreus and Meteroblast soon tried to scare the dragon away to a nearby island so it wouldn't come back the dragon. Even feeling a little bad for the dragon set sail towards them on his boat, on the island both the Typhoomerang and Meteorblast began a fight chasing each other around shooting flames everywhere. When even arrived the tiny island was basically destroyed as Thoreus stared from the beach annoyed at Meteorblast's behavior and lack of obedience. Even had decided he wanted to give this dragon a chance seeing as vikings over the seas near Berk and the School were riding their own dragons, Thoreus began to think of his studies there and remembered the dragon's species and how they have a fondness towards eels. Eels being an unwanted fish in the nets of Even he was happy to share with the dragon all the ones he had in his boat. He went to retrieve the eels on a basket and soon brought them back, just in time Meteorblast came back exhausted from the fight but the large dragon still followed him and landed on the beach. Even placed the basket on the floor and opened it in front of the Typhoomerang, it was wary at first but began sniffing the basked soon gulping down the eels one by one it had seemed to calm down a bit. Even held out his hand and the Typhoomerang obliged by placing it's snout on his hand, the four began splashing water everywhere on the island trying to put out the fire and by night time all the fires were out. Trumpfire trained by Even but with help of Thoreus and Meteorblast the three became friends and Trumpfire helped out with Even fishing rounds. Trumpfire is a worker and loves to have something to do such as carrying objects around to help build things around the island Even and Thoreus reside in from going along with Even fishing out large amounts of his while payed back a large portion of the ones he catches.
  Abilities: One of the few species of dragons that are immune to eels and the affects of it will be nullified not only that eating eels is beneficial for them as it increases their shot limit. Typhoomerangs can cover their body in sparks which they use while flying and about to take off leaving a scorch mark on the floor. Trumpfire's flames are similar to that of a Whispering Death where it shoot a large swirling tornado like firepower which can be flown across through the middle of it with ease.

  Personality: A protective dragon mother from Changewing Island this dragon will do what she can to protect her family. After one of her eggs accidentally fell onto Thoreus' bag while he was training with his dragon this Changewing tracked him down all across the seas back to his home making herself known in the color of darkness after his dragon alerted him of the dragon attacking the home from the outside. They tried fighting it off but this sneaky dragon was more than they could handle in their still sleepy state. Noticing a pattern that the dragon kept trying grasp his bag attached to his dragon's saddle he looked inside of it only to see the glowing rock that was the dragon's egg. They both landed on a nearby rock and Thoreus tried to give back the egg to the Changewing as it soon calmed down but still having it's guard up, he returned the egg to it and managed to calm it down. Glaring him down the Changewing mother grabbed her egg and as soon as it was back to her she flew away. Next time he visited Changewing Island he was surprised to see the dragon keep getting close to him but not attacking from the looks of it mimicking his every move with him starting to do more silly gestures and the dragon trying it's best to copy then soon bonding as the Changewing grew closer to the young viking. Jade is a highly curious dragon and loves to see vikings and dragons do their own stuff from sparring to playing all of those things get her attention.
  Abilities: The ability to camouflage is common within Changewings and it allows them to blend in to their surrounding by morphing their body and texture to one similar to the environment they're in.  Jade can use the ability of hypnosis which can only be done by staring another viking or dragon into it's eyes and they'll follow whatever command she gives but it's rarely used to not at all since acid can be much more effective when fighting or hunting.
