Kahlunzah defeated Kahvozein in order to absolve his portion of the sect and had his dragon priest, Sahrot, sacrificed for his pleasure
He extended his portion of the dragon cult outside of Skyrim and became an unfathomably powerful adversary, killing other dragons & their priests who told him otherwise
Kahlunzah grew too cocky with his power, believing that he was the worthy leader and the rightful holder of Akatosh's power
He lost in combat to Alduin and had his physical form dissolved whilst he was alive in a ritual
His soul was twisted and manipulated for the use of the dragon cult and he was bound to Kahvozein's fang until his soul is destroyed
Kahlunzah's soul melds with the one who performs a ritual with the fang
This melding can result in the death of the mortal hosting the soul, and kahlunzah returns to the dagger
The mortal hosting Kahlunzah's soul gains access to a dragon's power that adapts to the mortal
Over time, the soul mend becomes more powerful and Kahlunzah's soul overpowers the mortal's if unchecked. This results in exertion of great power that cannot be controlled or toned down, usually killing the mortal in the process
Kahlunzah's soul can mix with the mortals, rapidly changing their personality, thoughts and feelings
Kahlunzah's memories are muddled and are barely accessible
