Longneck Name: Cipactli (meaning crocodile in Nahuatl)

Longneck Gender: female

Longneck Rarity: Uncommon

Longneck Personality: She’s a short, quiet longneck with a love of her plants. She first wanted to understand how all the many flowers and trees worked when one of them saved her life - a set of herbs that treated her broken leg and made it heal far faster. Ever since then, she’s determined to learn it all herself - to help others just as she was.

. Cloud’s teaching her all he knows, and perhaps, one day, she’ll be even better than he is.

Short Story:

The sun is barely over the horizon, and Cipactli and Cloud are already awake. “So what’s the plan today?” she asks as the two of them carry pots outside their humble cave home.

. “Well the saplings are large enough, we need to replant them,” says Cloud. “It’ll probably take most of the day, but don’t forget we should hang up the latest batch of herbs to dry.” He’s rambling again, going on about all the things that had to be done, but Cipactli loved it. “How’s your leg holding up? Think you can re-pot trees?”

. At the mention of that she looks down at her front left leg. The pain was barely there - so much better than a month ago, where she could barely move. “Good, thanks to you,” she replies after a moment, setting her pot against the cave wall. “And hopefully it stays that way. Do I need to put something on it tonight, too?”

. “Yes... but it’s probably the last night. See, I told you it’d be better before the next moon cycle!” The tiny fellow laughs, and Cipactli swears she can see the sky in his eyes. It’s wonderful when he gets excited.

. “Cloud?” she asks, looking up at the real sky, far above.

. “Yes?” says the other. He has already moved on, checking on several plants nearby.

. “I’m really glad we’re friends. You know that?”

. He doesn’t turn around but he pauses, and she knows he’s smiling. “I’m glad we are, too, dear. I’m glad we are, too.”
