Silverstorm is a born Traveller who has a lot of experience beyond her years. While most Travellers opt to avoid pride lions when it comes to confrontation, Silverstorm takes great delight in teasing them and disrespecting them whenever they bother her.

It is this rebellious streak that causes her to meet Duststorm, who happened to be her would-be executioner. Caught and beaten by their fellow pride members, they were ordered by the pride's Queen to kill Silverstorm but they refused, which resulted in the two being attacked and chased away. The pair eventually fell in love and now lead a Traveller band, which includes their adoptive son, Sandstorm, and two former pride lions, Splittingstorm and Heatstorm.
