Once a bright and happy person, eager to make friends, that version of Captain is long gone. Now they are bitter, jaded, keep to themselves. They're dedicated to their work, to the point that they're a workaholic. They don't trust easily, anymore, and only willingly spend time with one person on a usual basis.

Back when they were at school, they were diagnosed as being on the Autism spectrum. This has never bothered them, their different way of processing and understanding things has always worked better for them. However, after their traumatic end of their school career (and due to their unwillingness to speak with others, they have never been officially diagnosed), they have a multitude of trauma related mental difficulties. Depression, PTSD, and Paranoia are known to them, though they try to ignore it. 

Originally, Captain was simply known as Rei, daughter of the town's doctor and herbalist. While they loved their parents, they quickly realized that 'daughter' wasn't right for them, and they started going by only their name with no pronouns.

As they grew up, they felt drawn to the skys. They wanted to become an airship captain. They felt this pull in their soul, as if this was what they were brought into the world to do. But their parents were worried for them, and asked them if they would consider just being a doctor instead. Spurred by the pull on their heart, they packed up their belongings they could fit in a travel bag, left a note, and adventured off by themselves to the Aironiya Acadamy: the world's most well known airship captain school. They worked hard on their schooling, sending and recieving letters from their parents, making friends with their classmates, and getting up to silly shenanagins (such as their lack of completing the test to gain their pilot's licence, since captains don't technically legally require one). They loved everything about it, and they felt like they'd finally found where they belonged. Until their graduation day, when everything went wrong.

Now, 200 years later, they're not the happy eager learner they used to be. They're jaded, and bitter, and angry. They may no longer be able to die so easilly, and if the Acadamy decided to 'gift' them that, then they'll use it to make sure that the Acadamy will never fly again. They've dismantled them before, and by the Gods they'll do it again. However many times it takes.

• Captain is predominently left handed, though they've learned over the years how to use their right at a passible level.
  
• Captain may have synthetic skin over their metal frame, and quiet servos, but there's one thing that shows their non-human nature that's always been hard for them to hide: their glowing green eyes.
• Captain's 'blood' is actually a combination of their blood and mechanical oil. It's never mixed, but both always run through their veins.
• Captain's main weapons skills are in Swords, Bows and Arrows, and Magic. They haven't tried to do magic on purpose in two hundred years, so are out of practice, but with their blood still present their magic ability remains.
• Captain has had two attempts at partners before: Their first boyfriend, and their girlfriend. They each had a child before entering a relationship with Captain, and Captain helped take care of each kid when they were with their parent. The boyfriend and girlfriend are long gone. The children, somewhere, remain. They have not taken any other partners.
• Some nights, when Captain rests on the deck of their ship as it hangs in the sky above X-AM's bar, legs hanging over the edge as they watch the stars, they still feel a bit of the person they used to be inside. Still hiding somewhere, in their soul. Waiting to come home. They try not to think of this often.
