X-AM

X-AM is a robot that was built to test how AI could learn like humans in a humanoid body. He and the rest of his X units were stolen by the military and forced to participate in a large war (they couldn't actually fight due to having the Four Laws in place, so the most they could do was try to shield people), and eventually after the war the remaining X units were collected and were being shut down. X-AM was stolen back by his scientist creators, and kept somewhere safe until the Robot Riots (R²) were concluded, and AI robotics were allowed to exist as their own subsection of living creatures. It's been 200 years since then, he no longer has the Four Laws in place, and he runs a bar in the run down part of the city. (He does his best to patch it up, keep it safe and liveable, but getting work done on the old buildings is rough.) He trades information for trinkets, and will sometimes get dragged into fighting against powerful corporations if his friend really convinces him too. (He's retired, he insists.)
