cold and spiteful, Bat has a long history of violent outbursts and forthright rage. They have an unstable relationship with just about everyone, and remains alone for the most part due to their explosiveness. He grasps for control and attention, and loves provoking others for his own amusement. Though not partial to a wing type, they aren’t opposed to acting that way for a reaction. There’s a more introspective side to him and he’s more skilled in strategy than he lets on, but this is rarely seen as now that he’s built this cruel image of himself it feels too late to turn back and he’s now immersed himself in his own pessimism.

Backstory:

his father hated him from the beginning, naming him Bat just to humiliate the runt of the litter due to his bat wing markings. They grew up in Bigmoon’s shadow, aching for his approval, acting out violently against peers and kin alike in their search of attention. He became desperate for it, any kind. Negative was easier, and they clung to that, leading to a multitude of punishments from Wavemoon and alienation from the Clan apart from Raccoonhum, with whom they spent a lot of time during their punishments. In the hopes of quelling his rebellious spirit, his father arranged him to marry Tallpaw when both were of age, and forced Batpaw to endure a sparring session which left him scarred. He was later found out for being close with a bat winged molly named Ivorypaw in secret, maybe one of the only cats he’s ever felt cared for by outside of his siblings Mumble and Raccoon. After that, the two never spoke properly again. When they met Mintpaw, things began to look up again, they began to pine after the tom much to their own alarm. It came to nothing, with their friend being interested in their half-sister whom they were on poor terms with, but Bat has an appreciation for his efforts to help them nonetheless.
