personality;
A very straight faced, serious looking boy. He's usually sporting a scowl or bored look, which can be intimidating and scare others away. And that's exactly how he likes it. Truthfully, he's a warm boy with an incredibly strong loyal and protective streak. Wataru has always took to being the protector of his family, and that's how he spawned turned into who he is now. He doesn't mind people thinking he's mean nor scary, he only trues cares for those he considers as part of his pack.
Honestly, he's much like Hibiki, in the sense they're both lacking a bit in brains. However, his instincts kick in and those are his saving grace. Once you get to know him, you can see the glimmers of his boyish charm; and how easily he breaks into grins when he really trusts and loves you.
bio;
Wataru is part of a race of fox demons, known to be hunted like many other species that aren't human. And like those other species, they've gone into hiding to avoid death. He isn't scared or suspicious of humans though, as it seems measures have been taken to save them. Elder brother to Hibiki, Wataru has spawned a new fear instead. He watched a mere couple of years ago, his brother forced into an arranged marriage. A handful of years later, Hibiki is at his doorstep in the middle of the night, holding his newborn daughter and explaining he has to run away or he'll be killed.
Wataru knew that if he stayed, it'd be easy for himself to be taken hostage or even be killed himself. Thus, he decided to run away with Hibiki in the middle of the night. The two now homeless and wandering, they're looking for a new home where they'll be safe- from poaching humans as well as any informants to the high ranking clan that wants Hibiki's head.
Originally, they lived with the clans just outside the cusp of the Xilenn kingdom.

- He's the fighter and protector of the group, you can think of him as the bodyguard. Thus, he can be placed in dynamic or intimidating poses that show he's ready for combat. He'll use anything he gets his hands on- or his hands and feet themselves!
- He likes things like bugs, and tends to try to show them off to his group! He hates to admit it, but he likes praise, so sometimes he does this hoping to get some for finding something really awesome.
notable relationships;
- Violet: A girl he meets when wandering with Hibiki. She and her brother, Dante, are on the search for a cure for the girl's mysterious illness. They stick around upon hearing about Hibiki's skills, and Wataru finds himself in Violet's company often. Her reserved, mild mannered nature is a fresh breath of air from his brother, and he actively seeks her out to spend time with. It takes him a long while to realize Violet is important- in a way that's different from Hibiki or his niece Shinobu. Their relationship slowly turns romantic, and he fully embraces it.
- Hibiki: His little brother. They're classic siblings, bickering and butting heads but fiercely loyal to each other. Wataru has no problems admitting Hibiki's faults, but be damned to those that dare do that to Hibiki that aren't him! Hibiki likes to try to get Wataru to "be prettier," grooming him and primping him up. Wataru doesn't care too much for it, but whatever makes his little brother happy.
