Following the move to the city of Outik and the awakening of her powers as a daydreamer at 10 years old, Valentine was thrown into a world of troubles and problems to solve. She managed to land a spot into Wynd, a school that is between other things designed to train void demon hunters both physically and magically.

With the add-ons of the cursing of her sister and her acceptance into AEGIS, specifically into a very special hunting project, she tries her best to hone her skills as a demon huntress and overall elementalist, though some of her practice has to be on her own, as daydreamer guidance is scarce.

Valentine, despite her unassuming and naive attitude, is far from someone one can easily take advantage of. Believing that there is strength and resilience in being kind, she has grown to always see the best in people, but still consider people's flaws in her judgement. An ever observant (although she may look distant or distracted) individual, she is often chosen to deal with social matters, as she easily navigates people's personalities.

As one becomes her friend, she reveals a rather mischiefy aspect of her personality; but that tries her best to not venture into disrespectful territory. As a big fan of communication and interpreting social clues, she can withdraw perhaps a little too much when given negative responses, but rationalizes it when given time (but still apologizes profusely).

She is curious by nature as consequence of being a daughter of a librarian, and often searches and asks for information in her free time. As such, she knows about a lot of subjects at least superficially, even those she doesn't 'look like' she knows.

Valentine and her twin Nova were born to a fairly stable household in Enitte. Her father is a marine biologist and her mother, a librarian.

CHILDHOOD

Her (and her sister's) childhoods were not noteworthy, though she showed a creative and curious personality from an early age. She'd spend hours drawing and consuming media, always by her sister's side: they were always attached at the hip, developing a nearly telephatical knowing of each other.

A few months before her 10th birthday, her father received a job opportunity in an aquarium in the city of Outik, causing the whole family to move a state over to it. After they moved in but before they could even start school, both Valentine's and Nova's powers woke. This did mean they could study at Wynd, where they were placed into for the new year.

(PRE)TEENS

Influenced by her sister's fake bravado, Valentine also decided to aim for a void demon hunter license, though in a more long-ranged and/or support role. Shortly into her training, she was diagnosed as a daydreamer, meaning she would have to take a new approach to her elemental powers, though her goal remained unchanged.

A few months into her training, on April 24th 2071, her sister very unfortunately ran into Olen himself, who seized the 'opportunity' by cursing her. Shocked and desperate to save her sister, she messily absorbed a small portion of her newfound power, resulting in parts of her hair becoming pitch black. The twins were then recruited into AEGIS to be aided more specifically in their needs. This put her in contact with more daydreamer resources, and she quickly grew in power.

Around September of that same year, she was invited by Taylor to participate in a special project he was planning on: the Fusion Unit Program. She was then appointed to Fusion Unit 02 after forming a bond with Pollux, though she was still too young to pilot it herself.

TODAY

She was recently given the permission to actually pilot Pollux. Rather overwhelmed by her changing powers and unique situation, she manages to keep her kind personality and keep her friends close, so she can protect them should anything happen.

Lance-staff: She yields a staff to channel her magic more precisely, which can also be transformed into a lance for close-range combat.

Daydreamer (aether element): Daydreamers are elementalists of the aether, thought to be only controled by gods alike. Not much is known about their purpose, but they are able to create and repair objects easily with training. Due to their rarity, Valentine relies on previous daydreamer-written books and reports to hone her abilities.

Light element: As she is an aether elementalist, she is also able to learn light spells.

Fusion Unit 02 - Pollux: She is a pilot for the Fusion Unit Program, a group of people who hunt inside their mechs.

FUN FACTS

She has a playlist, Enduring Bloom.

Her magic was initially 'diagnosed' as light, but was later found out that she was a daydreamer.

She would really like to have a pet bunny.

She's very interested on magic history. Sometimes one might see her reading ancient books. She learned how to speak an ancient language just so she could read those.

She gets upset when people pronounce her name wrong (it's Valenteene).

DESIGN

Her freckles are actually real constellations: Orion, Gemini, Crux and Canis Minor.

She has an X scar in her face.

Her pink acessories and clothing are generally variants of the color that represents her, #FFBDE8.

Her magic gem is oval shaped (though incorrectly depicted sometimes).
