Quiet, reserved, and typically makes herself small as would be expected of her on Homeworld...though in her Diamond's company and in private, Gold Pearl is a touch more laid-back than your typical Pearl. She is understated in both her voice and actions, but cares deeply for those around her she considers to be "family". She is attached to and rather fond of her Diamond, and tends to take more of a confidant-type role with her, unafraid to advise caution or concern on her behalf. She is mild and matronly, with a hidden pension for teasing.

Gold Pearl had a start not too unlike your typical Pearl--get incubated, trained, transported, and presented to your owner. She had been brought up on Homeworld's standards, and was understandably anxious to be serving a Diamond, but quickly learned upon arrival that the Distant Authority had their own sets of societal rules that were vastly different. The Diamond she'd been gifted to was childish but kind, spoiling her from the start. It didn't take long for Gold Pearl to take to her Diamond, and the longer she served and got to know her, the deeper their bond grew. Upon a visit from the main Diamond Authority, however, they balked at her misshapen gem--she was a baroque pearl, after all--and insisted on replacing her. Gold Diamond argued and insisted and letting her be, moreso than her distant sisters had been expecting, and ultimately won out against them, sealing Gold Pearl's place at her side and making her feel safer than ever before.
