Ampere (オオカミ猫アンペール) is a 19-year old wolf-cat hybrid who works as an engineer. He doesn't consider himself as a hero but he helps those people in need. Ampere steals electricity from Cruzcozia and he was never caught, which is why Cruzcozia refers to him as "Zip". He uses the stolen electricity to feed and get stronger each time thus he stores it on a generator he created as he is an aspiring inventor (and engineer). It's mostly just for his hobbies to clear off his mind from his past as he is part of the noble family, Solstice.

Ampere originally had a cold, aloof personality, which stemmed from his abusive upbringing and complicated family life. Focused and unemotional, Ampere preferred to keep to himself instead of hanging out with other people. While usually quiet and reserved, Ampere did initially possess a moderate level of arrogance, which, combined with his solitary tendencies, sometimes made him take the initiative without considering the opinions of others, displaying confidence that he could take on any obstacles with his own strength. He believed one becomes strong by struggling and fighting for what they want. However, he expressed contradicting mindsets; he did not want good luck because he felt he could control his fate, but also believed he was marked unlucky and that the world was against him. Ampere also possessed contradicting characteristics, attitudes, and behaviors. He was dominating and controlling as a result of his upbringing as the son of a nobleman, and he despised working with individuals he thought were inferior; nonetheless, he steadfastly refused to regard people as worthless.

Electrokinesis

Ampere can create, shape and manipulate electricity, a form of energy resulting from the movement of charged particles (such as electrons or protons). As an elemental power, electrokinesis is very simple and straightforward accompanied with a near-limitless myriad of uses. Most commonly, Ampere would be able to discharge large amounts of electricity in order to shock their opponents, potentially paralyzing them, burning them, or even stopping their hearts in severe cases. He's also able to summon lightning bolts, while even stronger he can manipulate it within the skies, or even create thunderstorms at will. Even if his opponent is resistant to electricity, the immense heat generated from lightning traveling through the sky, which is around 6 times hotter than the surface of the sun, will definitely pose a threat to them.

Amped State

Ampere has his most powerful called Amped State. He is at his most excited and full of energy which can be destructive. It is also unstable and hard to control which is why his Amplifier his important and he must wear it at all times. In some cases, he could hurt himself from it resulting to a scar. He apparently already did it when he was younger due to his unstable electricity so he accidentally hurt himself and the electricity hit his right eye.

Light Speed

During his Amped State, he can unlock this ability called light speed. The speed of light is considered a fundamental constant of nature. Its significance is far broader than its role in describing a property of electromagnetic waves. It serves as the single limiting velocity in the universe, being an upper bound to the propagation speed of signals and to the speeds of all material particles.

Origin

Ampere was born in June 16th to Hurricane and Rain Solstice, a noble family (similar to Andromedas). He grew up normal and full of joy until his parents somehow changed during his teenage years, he believes it is due to 'who will inherit the money' (his grandfather's property and wealth) that made them avaricious. Before all this, at the age of 5, he started to show signs of his electrokinesis quirk and he made his parents proud, considering the fact that he's the eldest and his siblings grew jealousy over him. It became a bit unstable as he grew up so his parents decided to enroll him in a private school for gifted young'uns since he scarred himself on his right eye and so he trained and practiced more until he can fully control it. Ever since his grandfather died, his parents grabbed the money for themselves and that really changed them a lot, from positive parenting to giving him a lot of pressure and somewhat abusing him, pushing him onto his limits to avoid embarassing them so that they can prove to their relatives they're the worthy legatee of Suntan Solstice (Ampere's grandfather). Due to strong emotions, his electrokinesis became super unstable once again and went on rampage to the point where he found out he posses a unique form called 'Amped State'. He is at his most powerful and full of energy which can be destructive. During this form, he accidentally hurt his siblings which angered his parents and hit him. By this, he hit them back, he went beyond his limit, something that his father couldn't surpass due to the large amount of electricity he released to them. He almost killed his parents (his mom who got injured the most) and his father banished him from their clan, never to return and will never forgive him for what he did, something that Ampere himself would do as well towards them. He then ran away from home, all by himself and learned to live alone with all the freedom he wanted even though it's really hard.

As an aspiring inventor and engineer

After he ran away from home, he was struggling to know what his true purpose is, until he first heard of Myst, an Inventor and Engineer from planet Sirux. He got inspired by her works and would always try his best to be like her and so, he started to innovate, improvise, and recycle some junk he sees or encounter wherever he goes. He mostly lives at the wrecking yard because of it and he was starving all the time, he knew he had to do something so he tried to be a mechanic for a bit that he learned from his grandfather before he died. He earned some money just by fixing machines and vehicles and that helped him a lot. He still works as a mechanic but as his sideline job but he mostly focuses on inventing stuff and learn everything he can in engineering. After so many attempts, he successfully made his Amplifier device that helps him stabilize his electricity.

Stealing electricity from Cruzcozia

Ampere steals electricity from Cruzcozia and he was never caught, which is why Cruzcozia refers to him as "Zip". It's mostly just for his hobbies to clear off his mind from his past as he is part of the noble family, Solstice. For him, the organization is corrupted as he sees their mission to be somewhat "wicked" which is why he steals a huge amount of electricity from them and would often feed from it or give it back to the citizens. Cruzcozia are facing a power crisis because of him, luckily enough he was never caught, thanks to his speed. He believes that Cruzcozia steals a lot of electricity from the main power source of the city to provide some for the organization, they in fact pay for it but Ampere sees them as selfish people for not sharing.

Future Timeline

Due to years of being hidden and escaping Cruzcozia, the time has come where he was finally caught by Amber) , one of Cruzcozia's agents and he was sent to their dungeons beneath the premises, still under Amber's watchful eye from Shard's orders. Ever since he got caught, he just stayed in a corner and isolated himself to avoid being 'corrupted' by them, Amber tries to make him talk but every word she says is just getting ignored by him. She somehow tried to be patient with him to make him talk but it's really not working until she said something that really caught his attention wherein she mentioned something about his true motives. He then replied to it and Zip finally started a conversation and talked for the first time in years. Months passed, until his trial where he was carefully interviewed by Kuiper, Amber was there by his side to guide him through all the questions that he needed to answer. As Kuiper's carefully extracting information from him, he then took off his gloves to which Zip noticed and he was very much aware of Kuiper's poisoning and tried to be calm and truthfully answered the questions against his will. After much consideration, he was finally released by them because according to Azinca, Zip is telling the truth since she can sense a physical reaction when he lie, such as a heightened heart rate. After Amber's genuine explanation on what the organization really does, he then later on joined forces with Cruzcozia to serve them and put his engineering skills on use. By this, he met his long-time Idol, Myst sometime around his 20's.
