Prince Calder is the second oldest child of Queen Nyx and first in line to the throne of Noxsted due to his older brother's abdication.

Appearance

Calder is a young human man with a medium skin tone, brown hair and violet eyes. He has a slim build and is average height. He keeps his hair short and tidy.

He wears a lot of purple clothing since it is the colour of his kingdom. He dresses with a priority for practicality over fashion.

Calder has spent his entire life up until adulthood in the royal palace and because of this, he has little experience in the outside world. He is quick to trust others and is always wanting to make friends and meet new people. He is excited to get to explore the kingdom as much as possible before he becomes king.

He spent much of his childhood in the royal library reading about magical beasts and monsters and thus has a desire to encounter them in the world to document them and maybe even discover a new one for himself.

Combat

His bow is called the Dreamweaver's Arc and is part of the royal family's weapons collection. It's a magical bow that conjures and fires arrows made of magical energy. It's only operational to those it deems worthy and who are of royal blood.

It was created by an ancestor of the royal family who had an ability to create magical weapons.

Relationships

Due to his sheltered life cooped up in the palace, now that he is free to explore the kingdom, Calder wants to befriend as many people as possible. He is friendly to everyone, even those who may turn out to not be trustworthy.

Robin

Robin is Calder's first friend since leaving the palace. His street smarts make up for Calder's lack of them and together they make a great team. Calder is one of the very few people that Robin trusts and he takes pride in that, though he often falls victim to Robin's playful teasing. He can't help but feel a sense of familiarity with Robin that he can't quite place.

Cleo

Calder is fascinated by the shifters when him and Cleo first meet. He encourages Cleo and Garrett to travel with him and Robin. While she is apprehensive at first, she comes to trust Calder and they become good friends.

Garrett

Calder likes to encourage Garrett to open up and be more social. Garrett, being a more introverted person, isn't always receptive to it but he knows Calder only wants to help him.

Selene

Calder respects Selene's quest to unchain her family's magic staff and she respects him being in constant search to increase his knowledge. They also bond over a shared interest in books.
