Formerly a member of both a renowned mafia family and the infamous Crimson Troupe, Operator Lacrimosa now serves Rhodes Island as a combatant in exchange for Oripathy treatment. He is extremely capable due to his former occupations, though his personality leaves something to be desired.
They express a keen disinterest in fraternizing with anyone outside of their fellow ex-Troupe member, Operator Fugue. Operator Phantom and Operator Shalem do not appear to pique their curiosity despite their shared refuge from the clutches of the Troupe. Still, they seem to take pleasure in the latter's discomfort when they are assigned on missions together. The most anyone else gets out of them is vague remarks and a smile that does not quite meet their eyes.
Lacrimosa came into contact with Calais-Blason’s Crimson Troupe through unorthodox means - instead of being one of the orphans indoctrinated into the theatre cult, he was contracted to work in the orchestral pit due to his musical ability and experience participating in Siracusan territory wars.
Unlike other operators who previously had ties to the Crimson Troupe, Lacrimosa does not express any particularly strong emotions towards the Troupe and its designs. They appear to be desensitized to the artful violence carried out by the performers, and hold no particular resentment for these atrocities they were hired to accompany. It was, after all, simply another job.
After the intervention of Rhodes Island to retrieve the Crimson Troupe’s Blood Diamond, Lacrimosa sought to change their place of employment to one more stable. They contacted one of Rhodes Island’s liaisons in Victoria before applying to formally board the landship. Here, they lead a rather mundane life and have no qualms with the drastic change. They are receptive to treatment and heed the directions of the medical department without issue.

Oripathy has the potential to enhance the Arts of the user, and music-based Arts are commonly used among accomplished musicians, such as those hailing from Leithanien. However, although Lacrimosa has demonstrated a refined proficiency in Arts-based casting, they prefer a more physical means of fighting.
Their mainhand is a modified cello bow, which has a length of fine wire in place of equine hair. Using this as a rapier of sorts, Lacrimosa can utilize a fighting style with precise skewering and slicing. They keep their cello case with them on their back, using it defensively as a shield or blunt instrument if necessary. (When asked about the condition of the instrument inside, they informed us that the cello has been similarly modified to withstand this rough handling. It seems to be a regular enough occurrence.)
