He's although very shy and soft due to his home life. Watching his family hurt so many people made him scared to do any harm, even though they tried encouraging him. He's very polite when talking and happens to stutter a lot. He can get shy and nervous around others, afraid they will judge him for being the son of a criminal.

Sparrow grew up being belittled by his older brother Onyx, and training to be an outlaw like his mother. Although he never minded his life, despite the abuse from Onyx. He did miss his father, although he has no memories of him. Sparrow doesn’t really know he can create sandstorms, because he has no control over his powers unlike Onyx. Sparrow loves his mother, Scarlet, but he always felt like there was more to the story of his father. And it made Scarlet and Onyx lose respect for him. Sparrow tried pleasing his whole family by pretending to be like Onyx, But it was never enough. Sparrow felt alone, and would often walk out of his home to talk to his only friends, Sparrows and a girl from a nearby town named Sadie. He could understand the sparrows and talked to them often when he felt lonely, and Sadie was a childhood friend he would often visit when he felt depressed. Sparrow has trust issues, but he knows for a fact Sadie would never turn him in. She's loyal, happy and honest. There was one time in his life where Sparrow was renamed Sorrow for his sadness. And it caused him a state of depression. Sparrow coped with it being alone. He stopped visiting Sadie of the embarrassment having his name ‘Sorrow’ and imagining the embarrassment trying to correct her. A year goes by, And Sparrow gains the confidence to change his name back to Sparrow, And it worked. Scream, Onyx, And Scarlet only use that name to tease him when he’s being too soft now. Although he goes through a lot, he still loves Death eye and will gladly die for them.
