Devil Fruit: Ondo Ondo no Mi (Temp-Temp Fruit)

Devil Fruit Type: Paramecia

Devil Fruit Appearance: The Ondo Ondo no Mi is oval with a various sized swirly pattern. The base color of the fruit is a deep ocean blue, while the center of the swirls are fiery orange. The boundary between the two colors is a soft blurry gradient. The stem is leafless with a pig-tail like swirl on one side.

Devil Fruit Description: The fruit allows the eater to gain the ability to manipulate their body's temperature and the temperature of anything they touch. It also makes the user less susceptible to temperature-induced injuries.

Devil Fruit Passive Abilities:

  • Body Temperature Manipulation: The user is able to manipulate their own body's temperature, as well as the temperature of  any object they touch. The exact limit of these temperature alterations is not currently known, but the user is capable of igniting wood upon touch. Although the user can manipulate their own body temperatures at will, since the ability is also linked to their emotions, temperature changes can occur involuntarily when the user's mood changes. (Nifty link for autoignition temperatures)
  • Semi-Temperature Immunity: The user is somewhat immune to changes in temperature, whether hot, cold or inbetween, as well as being semi-invulnerable to direct and indirect effects. During encounters with extreme temperatures the effect is weakened drastically.

Fighting Style: A Song of Ice and Fire

Weapon Utilization: Fighting gloves

Specialization: Melee with a few ranged attacks.

Description: Cerise uses her ability to manipulate the temperature in and around her body to perform attacks and supportive maneuvers

Techniques

Light Attacks:
  • Boiling blood: Cerise heats up her body, making her able to generally move faster, as well as making her blood less viscous, which allows oxygen to reach various parts of her body faster. This vastly improves her stamina as her body is less likely to produce lactic acid (10% reflex buff). Executing the technique simultaneously her defenses lower (10% defense debuff).
  • Blaze Breath: The user takes a deep breath while raising their internal temperature, heating up the air to alarming temperatures. Upon performing the attack, the user exhales, creating a jet stream of hot air that can if performed at close range, cause burns on the opponent which can deal damage over time. If the opponent is wearing clothes/armor made of metal the burn will be more effective - this also applies if the opponent hit repeatedly. The longer the opponent is exposed to the attack, the more damage will be done. The technique can also be used on weapons, e.g. swords, to heat them up. This can cause the opponent to be unable to wield their weapon without getting burnt or cause mechanical weapons to malfunction. Named equipment is only affected by the attack if it is of a lower tier than the attacker.
  • Time.... Stop!: Cerise utilizes her temperature manipulating powers to cool down a wounded part of her own or a comrade's body as a way of stalling the rate of cell-death until the target can receive medical treatment. If in a near-death situation Cerise can cool down the target's entire body, putting them in an induced coma to increase the likelihood of survival while the target can receive medical treatment.
Medium Attacks:
  • Bullet Strikes: Cerise heats up both her hands and performs a series of rapid strikes, aiming at her opponent's torso. The shockwaves from the heated punches can also cause minor damage, even if the opponent isn't hit directly.
  • Hotheaded Kick: Cerise performs a series of high kicks with a super-heated lower leg and foot. Just like with Bullet Strikes, the shockwaves from the heated kicks can cause minor damage, even if the opponent isn't hit directly.
  • Dragon's Breath (Fire/Ice): An advanced version of Blaze Breath - with the option to blow out either cold or warm air. Instead of simply exhaling, the user forms a circle with a hand in front of their lips which better projects the attack, allowing it to travel further. The user can also heat up or cool down the hand to further add to the temperature of the attack.
  • Shimmering Tempest (Fire/Ice):Heated version: Cerise utilizes various smaller objects (mostly gravel or scrap metal) she can heat up in her hands to throw at her opponent. The longer time Cerise has to heat up the objects the warmer they'll become, with the potential to melt them if there's enough time.
Cold version: Cerise breathes into her cooled hands, turning the water vapor in her breath into ice crystals she then hurls at her opponent. The longer time Cerise has to cool off her hands, and the less Cerise is out of breath, the more crystals can be formed.
Heavy Attacks:
  • Bad Weather Grenade: Cerise heats up one hand and cools the other and begins to swirl them around each other. Once the air has been set into motion, Cerise cups her hands, creating a small pocket of air between her palms. While the attack charges, the pocket of air spins more and more rapidly in her palms as the air is affected by the temperature differences. When satisfied with the velocity, Cerise hurls the pocket, or ball, of air at her opponent, releasing what's basically a hurricane-bomb.
  • Glacier Grip: Cerise grabs a hold of her opponent's body with a super-cooled hand. The area around her hand becomes cold as well, slowly but surely beginning to freeze. Depending on where the maneuver is performed this can have devastating effects. If the technique is performed directly on her opponent's skin, the damage will be higher. Glacier Grip can give the opponent severe frost burns.
  • Surge Punch: This technique can only be performed while the user's knuckles are covered in an electrically conducting material. The user cools off one hand and heats up the other and then smacks their knuckles together, creating a temporary electric field around their fists. The electrical energy is either transferred to the opponent upon contact (punch), or simply loses it's power and disappears after 2 posts.
AOE Attacks:
  • Burning Vortex: The user envelopes themselves in a veil of extremely warm, steamy air, using it as a shield, by raising the temperature of their skin to extreme temperatures. If deemed necessary, the shield can be pushed out, like a force field, striking everyone around the user - those standing within a radius of 5 meters or less will get damaged. If the user's skin is wet the heat will cause more steam to surround the user as well, which both can be used to the users and the opponents advantage.
  • ExolCerise heats up her right hand and cools down the left. When appropriate temperatures have been reached, she claps her hands together. Upon contact between the hot and the cold surface of her palms, an explosion is created. This explosion can be utilized in various ways, depending on which direction Cerise is pointing her arms while performing the attack, as well as depending on how she separates her palms. Commonly Cerise will use the attack to create a horizontal explosion. Depending on how great the temperature gradient is, Cerise may or may not be able to stand her ground. Through years of training she has, however, been able to find the optimal temperatures for attacking, as well as discovered the attacks second use: If directed into the ground, the explosion made by Exol can propel Cerise into the air. This can either be used to reach enemies in the air or as a quick mean of escape onto rooftops, etc.
