Ruby is a mare from a small island just off mainland Equestria known as the Yamato Island. She is the eldest daughter of a high ranking councilor at the current Emperor's court. As Ruby has spent most of her life among nobility she has learned to keep her true intentions to herself, and will rarely truly open up to others. The mare works as a diplomat of the state and tries her best to establish and retain a positive relationship with Equestria. When she isn't attending to her diplomatic businesses, Ruby enjoys attending meetings with her father at the Emperor's court as well refining her skills as both a swordsman and a tactician.
⚘ A P P E A R A N C E ⚘
Ruby is a rather tall, slim mare. Her red mane is cut short and neatly cups her face. Most residents of Yamato have tan coats like Ruby, but mane and tail colors are common shades of dark brown, black, grey, or, if born during a full moon, white. Ruby is, as far as she knows, the only one with a red mane and tail as she was born during a lunar eclipse, also known as a Blood Moon.Although Ruby almost always wears clothes, she isn't shy about walking around without it. She does, however, consider ponies who do not wear clothes to be uncivilized.
⚘ P E R S O N A L I T Y ⚘
Despite the fact that she likes to see herself as sophisticated and calm, Ruby tends to be more impulsive than she'd like to admit. She is naturally arrogant, which can cause trouble for the "diplomatic" mare. Although kindness comes naturally for most ponies, Ruby is a bit of an odd-one-out - she rarely does anything that isn't for her own personal gain. It's pretty obvious that she gets a kick out of making fun of people, and she doesn't even try to deny it either. Under the right circumstance, she can be as sweet and kind as anypony else, but this is, of course, a rare occurrence.If it comes down to it, Ruby won't hesitate to kill for the sake of the safety of her country or her Emperor. (For you weebs out there; Ruby is a total kuudere)

Iromuji - a kimono Ruby uses for everyday wear.
Katana - a curved, single-edged blade with a squared guard and long grip.
Tantō - a double-edged dagger.
