Ed is an extremely laid-back dude - cool as a cucumber, chill as a pint of ice cream, and... Uh... rad as a geiger counter? The point is, Ed is a carefree, fun-loving and extremely relaxed guy who doesn't sweat the small stuff and just enjoys living his life at its own pace. Ed spends most of his days either by finding new ways to relax, doing whatever comes to mind, or playing his guitar. Ed is a bit of an aspiring musician, and his songs are both funny and quite catchy (use Lemon Demon and Tom Cardy as a reference point!) and most of all, well-made! Ed's biggest problem as a musician is that he seems to lack any sort of ambition. He clearly likes writing songs and playing music, he's set up a little recording studio on the farm... But he just can't be bothered to advertise himself, or try to get gigs, or anything. Too chill for his own good.

Ed and Dusty are dating - the strudel quickly fell in love with both Dusty's personality and cooking after moving to Boarstrack Farm. Ed keeps Dusty grounded, and in return Dusty seems to actually be able to motivate Ed from time to time. Ed sometimes makes melodies for Dusty's poems, but those are only for the thimblet's ears to hear.
