Scorchcinders doesn't like to play games, everything she does has a purpose and a goal at the end of it. She's also very selfish and does things for herself, she won't sabotage her clanmates but she won't try to actively help out unless it benefits her in some way.

Childhood

Scorchkit and her sister, Mistletoekit are very different from each other, while Mistletoekit tried to be friends with everyone, Scorchkit preferred to stay inside and be alone. She would only tag along if her sister begged her to and that sometimes wouldn't even work.

Mistletoepaw drifted away from Scorchpaw when they became apprentices, Scorchpaw didn't mind all that much though, she still preferred to be by herself and it's not like Mistletoepaw completely ignored her anyway. It was when Mistletoepaw and another apprentice, Hickorypaw, started flirting with each other all the time did Scorchpaw started to get a tiny bit jealous of all the attention her sister got compared to her.

But it was fine, she like being alone, she didn't need attention or friends or attachments. When Scorchcinders became a warrior, she felt like once she died no cat would remember her, she didn't have any connections to anyone except for Mistletoeheart, but her sister is starting an entire new family with Hickoryfire, and she's also Hurricaneclan's deputy.

Scorchcinders was just a normal warrior that didn't have much going for her, and she wanted to change that.

Villain Origin Story

She continued training and refining her skills, training apprentices and helping out around the clan, she started to gain a reputation, but still, she was nothing compared to Mistletoeheart. But one day, Scorchcinders would get the opportunity she was looking for, her sister died during childbirth, and she'd hoped that the leader, Chrysanthemumstar, would chose her as deputy, but she didn't.

But it seemed like Chrysanthemumstar didn't know who to chose as deputy anyway, so Scorchcinders still had a chance. She tried to get on the leader's good side, but Scorchcinders was never as charismatic as her sister, and the leader barely noticed her through her grief. Chrysanthemumstar later chose Hickoryfire as the new deputy.

Scorchcinders was silently angry about this, it seemed like all hope was lost, and back then, Scorchcinders would've just let this go and accepted the fact she would be forgotten, but she was too deep into this now and she did not stop trying. In a battle with Dragonclan, Scorchcinders saw that Hickoryfire was cornered while protecting his injured son, Bluebellpaw. Scorchcinders saw this and backed away, refusing to help the deputy.

Hickoryfire didn't make it out alive and the deputy spot was open again. Scorchcinders next step was to comfort the grief stricken leader, they got incredibly close while training another one of her sister and Hickoryfire's kit, Gleampaw. They talked and got to know each other a lot and eventually Scorchcinders wanted them to be her partner, not because she loved them, but because it would give her a higher chance at deputy.

Chrysanthemumstar agreed and Scorchcinders made sure she knew this relationship was nothing but a fake image for the clan. The moons past and Chrysanthemumstar still haven't chosen the next deputy, and Scorchcinders made sure they still remember that. She constantly hinted to them that she wanted to be deputy and Scorchcinders was sure that she had secured her place in the clan.

As a final push, Scorchcinders decided to bear the leader's kit, even if she didn't want to and the thought of her being pregnant was disgusting to her.Chrysanthemumstar surprised everyone by chosing Gleamfire to her deputy and Scorchcinders was livid. She couldn't believe what was happening before her right now. She recently just gave birth to their litter of one, Citruskit.

Anger

Scorchcinders wanted to rip the helpless kit into pieces, what a complete waste of time. When she confronted Chrysanthemumstar about her decision, they denied it, which made her even more angry. Scorchcinders thought there wasn't much to her life anymore, all she wanted was to make Chrysanthemumstar as guilty as possible, for all the pain that she caused her.

Scorchcinders would go to the border and attack any patrols that happens to be there, she'd go there in the early morning and return at midnight. She'd refused to go see Flarelight, the clan's healer, because one, she wanted her wounds to scar, making Chrysanthemumstar more guilty, and two, Flarelight was also Mistletoeheart's kit and Scorchcinders didn't want to do anything with her anymore.

Scorchcinders soon passed away from infections and overworking.
