About SunClan
SunClan is a clan founded by clanborn, kittypets, rogues, and loners alike. Due to this rather unique history, the clan has zero prejudice against outsiders and on clan blood, instead valuing a cat's loyalty above all else (to the point where cats who betray them tend to be executed rather than exiled). As their first leader, Rowanstar, likes to say, everyone bleeds red in the end, and SunClan has held to that philosophy over the seasons. Their sacred place where they commune with StarClan is known as the Cave of Echoes: a cavern containing a large pool of water that reflects the glowing stars of Silverpelt at night, nevermind the fact that the cavern roof should prevent it from doing so at all.
Notable Skills
Due to living on a beach and the surrounding grassland, SunClan cats have grown adept at hunting on sand and fishing. A single hunt can take hours as a cat carefully balances themselves on uneven ground, creeping closer and closer across the sand until they're within range to pounce. Due to sand being difficult to run on, SunClan cats have developed stronger muscles in their legs and are quite adept at leaping high into the air from the ground. And last but not least, swimming. Living with both a river and an ocean on their territory makes knowing how to swim a must, and the CreekClan refugees were more than happy to pass the skill along to the rest of their clanmates.
Classic Code Deviations
SunClan doesn't really deviate from the classic Warrior Code. If anything, they take the 'kits must be protected no matter the clan they come from' part to the extreme, being well known to adopt any kit they find abandoned on their territory, including those directly given up to them by their parents. But other than that, they still follow the same laws - albeit substituting other clans for colonies, gangs, and clowders. Kind of hard to tunnel vision on the 'enemy clan' parts like in canon when your neighbors are all non-clan cats and just as legitimate a threat as any clan.
