Lin is a cautious, skilled and self-demanding quilava who used to live in a cave and practice her attacks in the forest until she accidentally lit a tree with an attack and started a fire, having to flee from there. After the incident, Lin didn't use her attacks again unless her life was in danger and refused to evolve.
