It's not hard to imagine why Armaros is not the most beloved of Angels. Despite their efficiency, they are infamous for their tendency to disobey orders, especially when they come from the Council, for their violent approach to most situations, or for their near-constant lying to get what they want. They're well known as one who hates being told what to do, who fears punishment much more than most else, but who doesn't let any of those things stop them in their track.
And yet, it wasn't always like this, not at all. While forgotten by most, some still remember a completely different Armaros, much kinder and loving towards everyone, especially towards humanity.
That Armaros probably got lost in the deepest circles of Hell, who knows. One could look for it, maybe, but that would not be Armaros. Besides, if it's been down there for so long, it's probably not coming back anytime soon.
quirks. he has a variety of nervous/bored habits, like cracking his knuckles, fidgeting with his fingers or, if he's not wearing his helmet, playing with his piercings. pretends to fight the air if it's 100% sure nobody is looking at it.
show of affection. doesn't show much affection in the first place, and only goes for the smallest displays possible, such as compliments under his breath, little elbow nudges, nods of approval and somewhat genuine smiles. he'll make himself more attentive too, listening more, and somewhat more sincere. displays depend on the receiver.
clothing. armaros is rarely seen without their armour, which has a dark purple color scheme with golden accents.
accessories. basic ear piercings. always wears an eyepatch over his left eye, which he has only changed once when it got damaged.
marks. three inverted triangles below each eye, various on their body. ones on chest resemble top surgery scars.
health. slight mobility issues with his left arm. left wing is smaller than the right one and can't extend as high. left eye missing.
- do not flip their features. eyepatch, smaller wing etc are always on the left. this is genuinely important please.
- long, pretty lashes. feel free to draw him with some eyeliner.
- if drawn without gloves, their fingernails are painted black.
- feel free to simplify their markings a bit, but keep them as accurate as possible. they glow slightly, alongside their eyes, wings and halo.
- wings and halo are optional.
- their piercings can be on either ear or on both. they're also optional, but preferred.
dislikes. boring fights, quitters, firearms, being told what to do
fears. large bodies of water, emptiness, silence, punishment
hobbies. sparring, annoying gabriel, learning useless skills
- they used to wear their eyepatch to have their eye adjust more easily to the darkness, which can be quite useful when you're fighting in hell. after his eye was stabbed out, he started using it to cover it up.
- armaros was once named armoniel, but that name has long since been forgotten. nowadays, if someone were to call him "armoniel", he wouldn't even get they're referring to him at first.
- their biggest ambition is to fight (and possibly kill) at least one member of the council. possibly not metatron. yahoel especially.

and the pain became the only way that he could ever learn"
i won't lie and say i haven't associated this song to about half of my more brutal characters who also have been through some form of abuse at least once, but i feel like it suits armaros' vibe best? he's been through various amounts of bad things and just... endured. it wasn't healthy nor did it make him a decent person, but he did it anyway. in a way, he's right — the council is pretty awful, after all — but he still follows his own egotistical ideals even if they lead him down a wrong path.
also, the "johnny 3 is gonna put you in the dirt / now it's your time to die" part honestly fits pretty well with his idea of being the closest thing to death incarnate.

"guarda, dritto dentro gli occhi la tua preda
ed acquisisci la sua luce mentre crepa"
the ANGER the RAGE the VIOLENCE the HATRED of this song... i said "wow this is so armaros-core" the SECOND i listened to it for the first time. there's various lines which fit this little ball of unfathomable rage and violence pretty well,, and the angels theme is just chef's kiss you know. also fits with armaros' unresolved issues with his image of himself and all hehe

"wie sie alle nuckeln an ihren sektflöten
du stehst in ihrer mitte und willst sie alle töten"
there's not that many lyrics but i feel like what we get describes how armaros sees the council and how he feels about them: a bunch of weaker angels who seized power without being actually able to fight, who think only of themselves and who he just utterly loathes, but who he still has to obey in the end, as he would definitely die if he didn't. he has seen what happens, when one gets labeled a heretic.
also the vibe of this song is simply immaculate sorry

spezzo il pane e lo trasformo in un torace umano"
ANOTHER OZONE ONE I'M SORRY HE MAKES ARMAROSCORE MUSIC. i love the violent vibe of this one too yes... i know it's more about ozone making his death rap music and everyone else kinda sucking but hear me out!! the vibe sells it imo. also look he's angry and he hates you and he hates everyone and he listens to angry music. how is this not armaros-coded huh

"white knuckle blade singin', 'where you at, bitch?'
they open the fuckin' gates, i came out with my heart ripped"
no i won't stop with the angry violence songs i love them. you KNOW what type of character armaros is come on. he woke uo and chose violence that's it that's armaros. also "no more mr nice guy" you know how he just got rid of the wayyy nicer personality he had when he was still armoniel? yeah and what if he might actually kill "them" just for fun. "them" could be demons or whatever sure but what if it's the council huh.

Armaros and Ramiel have been joined at the hip since the beginning of their lives, and always stayed together no matter what. They've been through many hardships, always being there for one another, whether the issue was the abuse Ramiel was enduring, the death or disappearance of Adriel and Tiphereth, the injuries and traumas Armaros got... While a lot of things have changed, for the better or for the worse, their affection for one another hasn't. Ramiel is pretty much the only person Armaros will always listen to, no matter what, and always be sincere around. He's aware him changing has made her somewhat more wary around him and more worried, but he tries to be the best version of himself around her, just not to hurt her more than she's already been.
Armaros doesn't really know why Adriel made them so happy, why he seemed to enjoy their company, why they fell in love with him like that, but it happened. Thinking about him now hurts like hell. He didn't deserve to die.
...he was Adriel's closest friend, and he's still Ramiel's boyfriend, after all. Armaros won't hide how much he dislikes Gabriel, as it believes he's pretty much everything it hates the most about how other Angels behave, but if both Ramiel and Adriel saw some good in him, enough to be so close, there must be something. He still holds a couple of grudges against him, mostly for being "the Council's little dog" (as they call him) and for, in their eyes, having let Adriel die in Greed, but it's slowly warming up to him. Very slowly.
Gabriel actually gains a lot of respect from them after his realization of what he had done and murdering all of the Council. Sure, Armaros wishes they could've had a chance to fight at least one of them too, but as long as they're gone, everything is good.
He's long gone, sure. They saw him get executed right before their eyes, and they smiled beneath the helmet as they watched him die. They irrepairably damaged the Prime Soul that was forming, sealed him once again in his prison chained alongside his beloved king. It's still not enough. Armaros still hates Diomedes with a passion, not really because of him being one of the leads during the invasion of Heaven, but because he dared to oppose them so openly and almost mockingly, because he dared to take their dagger and stab their eye with it, because he dared to almost defeat them for real. Some wounds just won't heal. Not that Armaros would let them heal, ever.
