sanajo 'adopted' him when he was 42 and hyril was 13??? and tbh ernest's age doesn't matter he ded anyway

ok time to actually dump all the info i have of him bc at this point i have a lot lmao

He's had some sort of chemical inbalance since birth but his powers and upbringing kinda made sure that he grew up to be Like This

his paremts were some sorta cwiminals idfk they dead anyway lol bye, it was just a very dysfunctional environment overall

ALSO he had freckles when he was a baby boy it's very important it was very cute

he didn't really realise what his powers were for a very long time and because of them he was way more sound-sensitive than regular rabbit babies and sometimes he unwillingly muted or deafened himself, especially if he got stressed, which made him more stressed and furthered his Fuckiness. he also had a knack for accidentally breaking things and was considered to have 'anger issues' because he'd sometimes increase sound vibrations in something too much and fuckin explode it. eventually one of his teachers realised that something was weird and taught hy to sign (and write obvs) his name and address in case he muted himself by accident away from home

he's practically mastered his powers by this point but still absolutely hates noisy environments, especially any sorts of disharmony, like he's fine with some sort of radio or monotone bg noise in the distance but if he can hear two sources of music his first instinct is to shoot one of them. it's also his first instinct when hearing jazz or techno, he hates these genres with a passion

he likes fucking about with hearing of people who play loud music outside and watching them panic. it's a hobby

when sanajo and ernest came for his family hy just kinda panicked and locked himself in the basement ready to Throw Hands and eventually just passed out in Sanajo's arms. he was like 10-13 then

he woke up in sanajo's house at the forest and just immediately adapted. sanajo thought at first the boy had immense trauma and was in denial but hy just sorta went 'parents dead???? ok. im hungry'

ernest was absolutely fucking delighted when hy signed his name to him and proceeded to teach hy the entire rest of the language

his last name is self given because sanajo changed his identity to ensure the child hyril is dead. he just asked hy what he wanted his last name to be and it was summer so hy was like 'summer' bc he had no idea what's happening. his first name stayed the same much to everyone's agony

as far as everyone is concerned the new hyril doesn't have a birth act or any school documents, all up to his entering of uni. 'got lost in a town hall fire'

he genuinely loves and adores sanajo and ernest to bits, and shows it in his own ways (and vice versa tbh) and at the moment i think they're the only people he's capable of genuinely saying he 'likes'

visits sanajo's abandoned house often just to chill and keeps trying to find him. just like ernest tbh

sorry bou he's not looking for any partner and never will, his only love is delivering justice

he's considered a deadly mascot of the organisation due to everyone in it being like, grizzly veterans with years of experience and then there's this summer child, and he loves it. he never smiles but when he's around his people he has this small spark of life and joy to his eyes which adds to his charm as the organisation's youngest and most adorable asset

he only listens to the organisation (ernest above all else of course) and would never go on a solo mission unapproved by them. unless the organisation is like 'ok for this shit you're working with this police station be a good boy and listen to the officers' and then he's chill with it. he actually has a badge and all the documentation but mainly works incognito so he never gets to show it off. sad

he actually wears the clerical collar almost all the time by accident, he just forgets to take it off and at this point grew used to it. also it's fucking hilarious

also if he gets wounded it's very often his go-to improvised pressure band to reduce bleeding which is even fuckin better

genuinely planning to be a preacher or something of the sort. ernest got him hooked up on angels and hy is convinced he's a v e r y good person and he just wants to learn more about the spiritual world. tbh he doesn't like interacting with people much so ok maybe not a preacher but listen im not that well versed with the priest lore to know what else these fuckers do, hy can be a monk or something idfk

he's very giddy when he's assigned to take out mercenaries, assassins, bounty hunters and all the likes of that, and that happens often. he's Good at his job goddammit

sometimes he likes to challenge himself on it and anonymously orders his target a job to take him out, just to absolutely fuck with them when they find him. doesn't do it often though because then they're obviously armed which makes his job harder, and sometimes he has to pay crazy money beforehand and he is but a poor student

he loves legend of zelda series and orchestral music, and playing the piano. he's picked it up really late but obvs has impeccable hearing so he sorta learnt by repeating music from listening. he's got a small electronic keyboard and an even smaller melodica

can fuckin SING BABEY but doesn't. him quiet. also he can't actually whistle so if he were to lose his whistle he'd have to resort to fuckin screaming or something

also he long leggy and can run fasmt.

doesnt know where to put his hands, ever, so he often resorts to scratching or picking at his ears or something in the vicinity. also he almost never displays any emotion so whenever he does it looks really unnatural and weird, even though most of the time it's genuine. doesn't help that his emotions often don't fit the situation

taph forced him into some sort of semi therapy where its just him sitting at their flat for an hour as they try to learn fuckin anything about him and he's just going along with it bc he doesn't know any better. also their roommate iva often blasts her radio really loud, in response to which hy blasts his own radio and mutes out hers because iva's music doesn't mix with him well, and eventually both radios continue into the night as iva lives out her solo party and hy falls the fuck asleep and taph suffers forever and ever

he sleeps in the weirdest fucking positions, like he doesn't move much in his sleep but he just falls asleep the moment he touches the bed, often with a leg propped up against the wall or his 3ds on his face or half on the floor or something like that. as long as it's quiet or he can mute himself out he can fall asleep in any circumstances ever. taph hates him so much
