Callum

Callum was the older brother to his younger brother. He was around 16 at the time when his little brother died due to an untreated illness, devastated by the loss of his younger brother. He got into video games to drown out his sadness, despite the constant comparison with his sister, him failing school despite going everyday, he didn’t care.

After he turned around 17, his parents still kept screaming at him to get a job, move out and grow up. They even threw out his xbox and left it smashed in pieces after using his little brother’s baseball bat. He found it in the trash 5 hours later and he just stared in disbelief.

After a long day at school, Callum logged into a game as usual. He came across a player saying “Hey! I need help with a quest.” Callum reluctantly agreed to help them, when they got to the place where this so-called “Spider-Shark.” was supposed to spawn. He got suspicious but before he could type anything, his screen started glitching and Callum vanished from the real world. .

The byte smiled and Callum looked at them in disbelief. He was screaming questions at the byte as they walked through the cyberscape. He learnt many things like viruses and bytes, places in the cyberscape, but that byte later on left him on his own to wander the cyberscape.

After a few months, a virus got salty with him and ambushed him in an alleyway. He fought back but was inevitably corrupted by the virus due to him not being used to his ability properly.

Around at least a month later, Callum spotted Alyx being ambushed by a virus and ran in to help take them down. They took down the virus with ease and no corruption, Callum asked Alyx if wanted to stay with him. They replied with “Until I can find my way back to the human world.”
