Born from the union of a poor human prostitute and a noble elf who was a little too curious about human life, Henrietta was the unfortunate result of an ill-planned tryst. To most people, Henri is no one of note -- a poor prostitute, an impressive archer, or a woman who they met shortly before finding themselves with less coin than they thought. To those that have wronged her, however, Henri is a frightening force to be reckoned with. Her smile is as sharp as the knife she'll stab in your back.
With a bounty on her head, Henri has been forced to run from her home and her past. Finding her way to the country of Taura, she intends to find her absent father and force him to pay off the bounty lest she reveal that he has a half-human child.

Personality
manipulative
Henri is not above using whatever is at her disposal to get what she wants. A necessary evil for her survival and not one she feels particularly bad about, she has no issues toying with the emotions and thoughts of others if it will benefit her. She doesn't exactly relish in it so much as she doesn't know how to get what she needs any other way.
cunning
Henri is just about the least genuine person anyone will ever meet. She tells lies freely about the smallest things, sometimes for fun but mostly because it's how she knows to keep herself safe. She fears being known by others and she avoids showing her genuine emotions, and so she fibs and falsifies in order to avoid having to.
vengeful
Behind her very well constructed carefree mask, there is a bubbling anger that rarely makes it's way to the surface. Henri resents her upbringing and the things she believes it made her do to survive it, blaming her deceitful and fickle nature on the life she was forced to lead. Her motivations in life are generally rooted in revenge on the people who she feels have wronged her.
insecure
While she's very good at acting as if she believes she's above it all, Henri experiences a complete and total lack of self-worth. Henri has never met anyone who hasn't used her in some way, and as a result she sub-consciously believes that her worth lies in what she can provide to other people. To this end she believes that everyone wants something, and that if she can find out what that is, she can make herself valuable to that person -- not just valuable, but wanted.

Henri is selfish and almost totally focused on herself and her desires. She lives for fun, and any hard work she does is only so she can keep that lifestyle funded: dancing, flirting, partying and drinking are her biggest hobbies and all things that she does fairly well. She does what she wants on her own terms and within her own timeline.

Although she's very choosy about actually developing affectiomate feelings, Henri is fiercely protective of the few people that she does grow close to. She is defensive and would do just about anything to safeguard those that she loves. It's less good-natured than one would expect, as she views it more from a possessive standpoint than anything; she needs to protect what is 'hers', and she's not good about sharing.

Background
Rejected by her elf father who went back to high elf society after her conception, Henri was raised in Blooming Rose brothel by the many prostitutes who called it home. Her mother resented Henri's existence, as she had never wanted a child (especially from a man who never planned to stick around and support her and the child), and so she was absent at best and a very poor mother at worst. Despite the rough start to life, Henri was an intelligent little girl who learned how to be cunning and resourceful early on. Her early life involved several cruel life lessons, but she never made the same mistake twice.
Having been born into a brothel it was only natural that Henri would become a prostitute herself. Although one of the luckier ones since her half-elf lineage made her a sought after 'commodity', she was quick to become dissatisfied with the amount of coin she made as a prostitute. She began to turn to sleight of hand to earn some extra money -- steal some gold pieces while her customer was unconscious, maybe slip something in the customer's drink to make him a little more generous. She also began to lift some money from the brothel itself, stealing from both the 'mother' of the brothel and the women she worked alongside. She carried on this way for some time before she eventually got careless and greedy. She was caught stealing from the wrong customer, a nobleman of the city who put a warrant out for her arrest. Booted out from the brothel after her crime was revealed and with nothing to her name, Henri would flee the town in order to keep her freedom.
With few other options, Henri went on a mission to find her noble father and blackmail him into providing a good life for her.
Relationships
Partner Renn is her companion in adventure -- they first met when Henri stumbled into Renn's inn after a long night on the road. Henri immediately discovered how easy it is to manipulate Renn and used it to her advantage for cheap lodging. Somewhere along the way, Henri began to feel something in her soften for the soft half-elf, much to her dismay. Renn makes Henri doubt everything she's come to believe about people -- that they're greedy and only want her for one thing. She is fiercely protective of him now, and values him more than anyone else in her life.
nemesis While enemy might be too strong a word for their relationship, Henri dislikes Vallius -- he mirrors many of the qualities about herself that she isn't so fond of, and she does not enjoy seeing them mirrored. They met after Vallius threatened his way into a cheaper inn-room and despite the fact that Henri conned Renn for the same result, she didn't take it laying down. They've gotten into a few scraps before, including a bar fight, and travelling together was tense for everyone involved. She would be lying if she said that it wasn't a little fun to be able to wail on someone who can take her hits, though.
acquaintance Although Rhys is much more preferable to Henri than his guard dog, any kindness showed towards Rhys was out of a desire to use his money and power to benefit herself and Renn. In reality she doesn't care for Rhys one way or another, besides thinking that he's spoiled. Even then, her feelings are that of indifference.
