Basics 
Personality
Cameron seems a bit shy and flighty, and he can tend to struggle to talk to others. He often will just quietly agree with others because he doesn't want to get into arguments with them. He often doesn't speak unless spoken to first either, and will often find an excuse to get out of things.
Despite this, he does seem to be pretty kind hearted, often wanting to go out and help others. But he struggles with doing so as he has a lot of self confidence issues that can prevent him from stepping out of his comfort zone.
With Pokemon
Cameron almost seems to be a different person when he's with pokemon. While he often doesn't consider himself a very good trainer, he does really well in caring for pokemon, in a way they seem almost drawn to him. He talks more confidentally when he's with pokemon, and despite not being able to understand them, he almost feels like he's got a special connection with them.
Pokémon Team
Former Members
Poochy was given to Cameron after he joined Team Magma so that he could have a pokemon to do missions with. Cameron showed a lot of care for Poochy, even if he wasn't a very strong poochyena. Poochy was eventually killed by the higher ups of Team Magma as a punishment to Cameron for failing "two easy tasks." Cameron blames himself for Poochy's death, and does miss him dearly.
Other Relationships
Maple
[???]
Cameron has run into Maple twice by now. Both of these times were under not so great circumstances, where Cameron was out on an assigned mission. Maple and her team were able to stop him and keep him from completing the missions, so you'd think he dislikes her, but this really isn't the case at all. He doesn't blame her for wanting stop him really.
Courtney
[Commander]
Cameron's a grunt working under commander Courtney on the team. Despite her being his direct boss, he shows visible dislike for Courtney, finding her tactics to be cruel and unneccessary. Mainly, he is mostly just afraid of her though.
Maxie
[Leader]
Cameron has only talked to Maxie a few times, and thus doesn't know a whole lot about him. Though the man's intimidating nature does fear Cameron a little, and he just tries to stay away from him mostly.
STORY
(Spoilers Ahead!)
Backstory
Cameron had joined Team Magma soon after becoming a legal adult for reasons unknown. He keeps his personal life pretty private, so no one really knew where Cameron came from, or why he was even here, often being told he's "too nice" to be around here for his tasks.
Unfotunately a lot of less than tasteful individuals didn't like Cameron's hiding nature, and decided that they wanted to pick on him. This also leads to him being quiet and a little miserable during his time there, but him feeling like he needs to stay.
During the Comic
Cameron first appeared in petalburg woods attempting to rob a scientist from Devon Corp. Maple encountered him and decided to fight against him and stop his robbery. Forcing him to flee. They would meet again in Rusturf Tunnel, where Maple stops another robbery attempts. And at that point, defeated, he returns to the base.
After getting back, he had his poochyena taken away from him forcibly. And as a punishment, the poochyena was killed. Cameron wasn't kicked off the team, but now he kinda keeps to himself mostly, and isn't usually taken on for tasks.
