About

Xlaris works as a bartender, a cook, and a waiter. Back when he was in the Tarakonae battalion, he was kicked out for being “too nice” and “incompetent.” He used to help deliver and carry supplies, but they didn’t want him since his combat skills were far below the standards. He’s a Keltarius, a Tarakonae class specializing in archers that isn’t well desired. He then managed to leave the realm by sneaking onto an Aekhonian cargo airship but was then caught when they arrived at the Aekhonian society. They hacked off his wings and tail as a "punishment." The scars are now a distant memory of his time in the Tarakonae realm. He later changed his name and grew out his hair.

The experience has left him afraid of messing things up and being incompetent, even though he does his non-combat related jobs extremely well.

Xlaris is a frequent binge drinker (in the process of cutting it) and has a hidden talent for singing. He hasn't told anyone that he's actually a Tarakona because of the bad memories and because he looks just like a regular human (unless they notice that he ages much slower than a typical human).

Appearance

Like most Tarakonae, Xlaris has broad shoulders and is fairly large. He is slightly above the average height for a male Keltarius. Xlaris has yellow eyes and shoulder-length black hair, with some of it parted to the sides in the front. He typically wears his uniform which consists of a white dress shirt, a black waistcoat with gold buttons, black dress pants, a belt with a silver buckle, black dress shoes, a black bowtie, and a golden hair feather accessory on the left side of his head. He often wears the accessory even if he's not in uniform.

Additionally, Xlaris has tattoos that cover both of his upper arms.

Abilities

Tarakonae age similarly to the growth rate of humans until they reach 20 years of age. After that, they age extremely slowly, taking up to 15 years to age 1 human year. They have extremely long lifespans as a result. Lanthanoes are estimated to live up to 750 years, compared to 1,000 years for the typical Tarakona. Tarakonae are able to live a long time due to their draconic blood and because of the magical energies within their land. Since Xlaris left the Tarakonae realm, he is no longer exposed to the mystical energies which are still wearing off.

Relationships

Lvar and Aris [ Cousin and Friend ]

Lvar is Xlaris's cousin while Aris is a friend of the two. Xlaris doesn't remember much about his cousin and friend, but he does know that Lvar is a rather deceitful and rude Augurium while Aris is a gentle Axtaris with an alter ego. When they were younger, the trio often played and sang together for fun. As Xlaris left the Tarakonae realm abruptly without notice or any information, Lvar and Aris merely assume that Xlaris is dead.

Lok [ ??? ]

Xlaris found Lok hiding in the Aekhonian airship as a mysterious stowaway. Lok communicates to Xlaris and only Xlaris via telepathy.

"They just follow me around. I think it's because I seemed to have 'saved' them or something?”

"My name sounds unconventional? I can name myself whatever I want, Lok."

Kival [ Datemate ]

Kival met Xlaris when they stopped by the restaurant he works in. They've been friends ever since and have been dating for some time now.

"Kival's an interesting one... aaand they took my soda again. They're a charming individual, but I do wonder if there's a proper way to exorcise that demonic thing plaguing them.”
